Taurean Thompson

He wasn't holding out for any invite from MSU. The same quote he gave Zags about wanting to commit right now and get it over with, is the same thing he told several players on his last visit to SU. Mommy still doesn't want to sign off yet smh. Trust me, this kid doesn't want to go to SH or MSU.

Oh, I always trust you, Francis. I'm sure you're spot on, as usual. I guess he's just going through the motions to placate his mom.

What kills me, is mom supposedly wants him close (and of course what is best for HIM, I hope) ... yet she wants him to check out MSU. How many games is mom going to see him play if it is MSU?

I think his quotes make it clear he wants to get it over with and pick SU

Nonot at all but if he makes his decision at least we will be don and out. No more speculation and hope.Kids like him are the worse part of recruiting

I get it where to go to college isn't decision, but coaching staff's put in a lot of time and effort in the recruiting process, and for him to drag it out this long, its not fair to them.

Not fair for the player to be sure where he is going to spend the most important time thus far in their life?

Not fair to the mother who will be sending their child off to a team/coach who will be shaping him into a young man?

I get it. As a fan, it's tough to lose out on a recruit. I've lost out on my fair share of them as a coach. But let the families take the time they feel they need. On all accounts for what Francis is saying, TT wants to be Orane but there's a holdup in the family. Let it play out. Kids like him aren't the worst part of recruiting. It's the fans who feel they have the right to dog a teenager based on what school he decides.

Its not even about the fans, I am not trying to make this about me or any other fan, its not fair to all of the coaches who have put it many hours with the recruitment, practically every other kid has committed by now.

All part of the job description. You choose not to put in the time for all your recruits, whether you get them or not, your program will suffer.

If we look at what Michigan St will have in the post next season. They bring back a senior in Gavin Schilling, 5th year grad transfer Ben Carter, and top 50 incoming frosh Nick Ward. So he's not exactly stepping into an instant starting role there as well.

It's not fair either when these kids decide to go to the NBA. It should be a requirement to stay at Syracuse University, 4 year minimum.

It is obvious that his mother doesn't like JB. Maybe she has received feedback from other parents or simply doesn't care for his style of player "motivation " such as his public slamming of Roby.
Regardless it is apparent that Mother is hell bent on finding an alternative school for her son. I don't know the rules of recruiting but if I'm JB and I want this kid I would get my ass on a plane and visit her to try and alleviate her concerns.
