TCU and Gary Patterson part ways

Tough to be at best the fourth best program (UT, TA&M, Baylor) even in a state as talent rich as Texas, and even that gives them the benefit of the doubt vs Houston, TTU and SMU. Then factor in OU poaching and upstarts like UTSA.
Remember when we lost the hotshot qb recruit to them, who then fell completely off the radar.

Can’t remember name, but whatever happened to what’s his name?

Only Coach who’s made them relevant since 1938 has 3/4 mediocre seasons and gets canned. If this was for performance reasons, it’s a shame, he built that program.
This will be their Fire P equivalent. It’s remarkable similar when you think about it. And to whomever said it, TCU hit the realignment Lotto, not the opposite. They’re making real money and have a P5 future because of Gary Patterson.

Zach Allen?

3 years at TCU.

Transferred to Rutgers.

Played 5 games at Rutgers over 2 years:

2017 (Redshirt Senior): Saw action in three games ... named to the Academic All-Big Ten list (12/6) ... targeted on a pass as a wide receiver on Senior Day versus No. 16 Michigan State (11/25) ... appeared on the hands team on an on-side kick against in the win over Purdue (10/21) ... made season debut at quarterback against Morgan State (9/16) and had one rushing attempt.

I haven’t heard Jerry Kill’s name since he was the coach at Minnesota when we played them in the bowl game. He’s had some serious health issues I can’t believe he is still coaching that’s a medical miracle.

Lest you were wondering, not a single one of TCU's 11 commits has an SU offer.
They're primarily TX/OK/AL based recruits, not surprisingly. I wasn't expecting much there.

MD/VA/PA/NJ/FL/GA/MI/OH/IN/Carolinas/New England - if we see changes at P5 schools in those states/regions then we may see some opportunities.

I suspect they’ll do better with the hire than doctor incompetent
