Nice. seems like we had some need to add a traditional TE type in this class. I assume that’s what he’s been recruited as as that is what his commit edit states him as. Looks like a good blocker. Doesn’t seem to have much wiggle to make people miss but appears to have solid height, good hands, decent route running, and good straight line speed which should make him enough of a receiving threat from a traditional TE roll.

Very interesting offer list. NG always has a kid or 2. Nice size, doesn’t seem extremely fast as a receiving TE but good hands. Could possibly see him as a DE instead.

Three-star tight end Carter Bashir announced his commitment to Syracuse’s 2026 class on social media Saturday. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native is SU’s first tight end in the class, which now ranks 29th nationally.

The 6-foot-5 target made official visits to Temple and Syracuse before choosing the Orange one week after his visit on June 13. He becomes SU’s 22nd commit in their 2026 class and 19th three-star recruit.

Syracuse gave Bashir an offer on May 16, one his nine. He picked SU over Boston College, South Carolina and Miami. Daily Orange

Carter Bashir a 6-4 240lb TE/DT at Neumann Gorreti has shut his recruitment down and given his pledge to ACC program Syracuse University. As a junior at NG Carter led the team in receptions (25) and receiving yards (351) while also being a force defensively recording 44 tackles, 5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. In 2023 as a sophomore Carter recorded 19 receptions, 234 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.

Other programs who pursued Carter and offered scholarships were Temple, Miami, Duke, Boston College, Indiana, Delaware, Charlotte, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
