But he almost looks like a player who hasn't "grown into his body".
I'm thinking if he "leans out" a bit...he will get stronger and faster and still be 250.

This is a great early recruiting class pickup. High floor type player with an unlimited ceiling. Just an athlete that we want on campus and wherever he fits, he will be valuable I think. Awesome start to 23 class.

Reminds me of Antonio Gates. You can tell he's a basketball player, very soft hands and some impressive one handed catches.

Hope he stays unrated and under the radar until his LOI is signed. Really solid core to build an offensive recruiting class around with he and Sellers already on board.

His highlight showed him making a one handed catch down the middle. He also plays basketball. I’ll take a 6’7” 265 athletic tight end every day of the week. He’s huge.

Kind of surprised he committed already. With his measurable and a strong senior year, he’s going to attract more attention. I still think he will. This is a great early commit. There’s a lot to like here. Love his film, gave me flashbacks to Harold Brantley, Steven Clark and Josh Hough where they were just physically overpowering kids. Very nice early in state recruit.

His film is really impressive. Happy that we identified him and offered him early. He could play a bunch of positions for us. I had him 36th in the state in the class of 2023 but he moves into the top 10 now. Already have at least 21 players with offers in the class. Looks like a strong one for the state.

Defensively he is a great get.

Christian Brothers Academy tight end David Clement announced his commitment to Syracuse football on Friday, becoming the second member of Syracuse’s 2023 recruiting class. South Florence quarterback LaNorris Sellers committed earlier this month.


Clement caught 16 passes for 299 yards and a pair of touchdowns last year, per MaxPreps.com. He also recorded 64 tackles, including 21 for loss, and seven sacks as a defensive end for CBA.
The 6-foot-7, 265-pound Clement received an offer from Syracuse three weeks ago. He visited Boston College last week before committing to SU.

Among the articles I read it was mentioned they were recruiting him as a TE.
