Tecmo Super Bowl Fanstasy draft

Tee, be careful out there buddy.. This is why you dont drive with your thumbs up out the window!!

Really tho, glad you're alright!
Thank you my friend. Damn thumbs, knew they would ruin me!
Ah, I'm over it. But I badly miss my home state.
Thanks for the concern, Troop.

Who let you make the picks? :p

I guess we are going to get that deep. I was hoping I could get him here and not have to eat my words from much earlier in the thread. There are a few better "pass catchers" left but I went with name recognition and speed remaining.

With the "one millionth, cajillionth, fififillionth pick in the 2013 draft" the DigaBills select Tim Brown WR/Raiders.

Isn't this SYRACUSEfan.com . . . I thought so. No way I am going without an SU player, and its not going to be the last pick either (even if it is the next to last pick, and the position I feel is least important).

Lets take an SU legend. Tim Green DE Atlanta. Went to my high school, and played for SU. Not the best available at his position, but no slouch either. He is officially being named my team captain!

Nice one. I only have LB slot left and now I feel guilty. Keith Bulluck, why couldn't you have been skipped 9 grades?

There goes my next pick. He could fly in Tecmo.

So we've got Mr Brown and Mr Green in successive picks... anyone else having Reservoir Dogs flashbacks?

tee- glad you are ok- thats all that matters- ive had the airbag burns before - hurt like hell but healed in a couple weeks with a little ice and some neosporin where its cut- had an xray of my ribs too just being cautious.

my final two picks are (sorry for not bold)

sean jones- dl houston

freddie jo nunn( you were dead on when you guessed him) dl phoenix.

I wish we were drafting a full team because I think its important to have 4 good linebackers. However, I dont think you necessarily need 4 fast linebackers. You definitely need guys to run around a wreak havoc (which I have in Derrick Thomas) but its nice to have somebody in the middle who can jump up and pick a pass off out of nowhere.

That is why I am drafting Gary Reasons ILB NY Giants with my last pick. By far the most intercepting of any linebacker in the game.

Indulge me with a little Tecmo story here with my last pick.

The last time I ever played Tecmo bowl was my first year of law school. Some friends from home came up and visited me for a weekend. We were out at the bars all night getting drunk then decided to pull an all nighter and plan an entire Tecmo bowl season.

I was Pitt (Williams diving up the middle, I also drafted him). One of my buddies was the Giants and we happened to meet in the Super Bowl. By this time I was so drunk that I was literally seeing 4 televisions.

I really had no idea who was open when I was trying to pass, all I know is that I heard that interception music over and over again. It turned out Gary Reasons was in excellent condition and he had like 7 picks against me. The guy might be a little slow, but he is a difference maker.

Obviously I lost the game.

The draft was great though. Thanks to all participants. It brought up some old dusty memories and its amazing how much I remember that I never though I would have when we stared. A lot of fun!

Thanks, man. All good. I am tough. Drunk for once. But tough. Going to work tomorrow with a massive headache. Either that or not so tough and sleeping til noon. Bring on the tylenol!

Good call. He was the interception king that year. NYG defense was tough without him, but you couldn't really throw it down the middle with this guy in the way. Great pick!

So long as it's not Scott "Laces Out" Norwood, you're due for a stud kicker.

Got into accident. I'm a man and a man admits their faults. That's my bad but everyone is ok. Google route 22 Springfield nj and you will understand my dilemma getting to and from work. Nowhere else to go but does anyone no about burns from airbag popping out to mangle your arm? If so please pm me. Small welt and burns but ambulance said I'd probably be ok it's up to me, I said I'm good enough. Any experience, I'd appreciate the help.

Tee, try this stuff - http://www.miracell.com/buy-online?...lypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=6&category_id=1

Damn man. Happy that other than a few bumps and hopefully minor burns, you are ok. Be safe.

Thanks for the concern my friend. Yeah, holding up well today. Just burns and bumps, and so thankful everyone is ok. Now, how to deal with this logistical mess today? We'll get there somehow.

Alsacs last position selection is from the underrated Philadelphia defense DE Clyde Simmons and for my special draft pick selects kicker Pete Stoyanovich/ Dolphins. I left the best K for IO since I am sniping his guy.

With their 12th round and final pick in the draft ImperialOrange selects Curtis Duncan WR/HOU

went with speed all over the draft and was going to go for it again with Tim Brown but once he left I went for a possession WR that catches everything and will still outrun the LB's in pursuit.

Since Alsacs picked Stoyomatic my K selection would have to be Gary Anderson K/Steelers former SU footballer turned SU football player class of 1981.
