Tecmo Super Bowl Fanstasy draft

Here's my final roster since I missed giving nicknames on my last 2 picks

QB - QB "Don't call me Randall" Eagles QB/PHI (Rd 1, Pick #4)
HB - Bobby "High top" Humphrey RB/DEN (Rd4, Pick #29)
HB – David Meggett”man” RB/NYG
WR - Willie Lee "They call me Flipper" Anderson WR/RAMS (Rd 5, pick #36)
WR – “Marky” Mark Ingram WR/NYG
WR/TE flex – Curtis “Tim” Duncan WR/HOU
DL - Howie "The Duck" Long DE/RAI (Rd 6, Pick #43)
DL – Jerry “Wrecking” Ball DT/DET
LB - Greg "Avoid" Lloyd LB/PIT (Rd3, Pick #20)
LB – “Mean” Kevin Greene LB/RAMS
DB/S - Wayne "Beast Mode Tecmo" Haddix DB/TB (Rd2, Pick #13)
DT/DL- Neil “Baby Bruce” Smith DE/KC

With their 12th round and final pick in the draft ImperialOrange selects Curtis Duncan WR/HOU

went with speed all over the draft and was going to go for it again with Tim Brown but once he left I went for a possession WR that catches everything and will still outrun the LB's in pursuit.

Since Alsacs picked Stoyomatic my K selection would have to be Gary Anderson K/Steelers former SU footballer turned SU football player class of 1981.

For my flex wr/te I was looking at Jackson from PHI or Duncan - very good pick.

My Final Roster

QB - Boomer Esiason /CIN
HB - Barry Sanders/DET
HB – Earnest Byner/WAS
WR - Andre Rison/ATL
WR – John Taylor/SF
WR/TE flex – Keith Jackson/PHI
DL - Sean Jones /HOU
DL – Freddie Joe Nunn/PHO
LB - Keith "Tecmo made me a star" Millard/MIN
LB – Seth Joyner/PHI
DB/S - Rod Woodson/PIT
DT/DL- Bob "Tecmo Sack King" Nelson

For my flex wr/te I was looking at Jackson from PHI or Duncan - very good pick.

I was taking Jackson in round 10 but you got him first. Backed into Neil Smith as my 3rd DL so that works as well. Loving my defense to make up ground in the final standings and my O rounded out nicely as well with speed at over and Duncan as a safety valve for QB Eagles.

Nice - I went with speed and quickness on D and a balanced team on O that can run or pass every down and take it to the house. 1 deep threat and two possession guys. Not likely a super high scoring team but one that can chew up yardage with the threat of a big play anytime.

QB- QB Bills/BUF
RB- Neal Anderson/CHI
RB- Johnny Johnson/ PHX
WR-Jerry Rice/ SF
WR- Henry Ellard/ Rams
WR- Stephen Baker/NYG
DL- Chris Doleman/ MIN
DL- Trace Armstrong/ CHI
DL- Clyde Simmons/ PHI
LB- Dennis Byrd/ NYJ
LB- Jerome Brown/ PHI
DB- Richard Johnson/HOU
K- Pete Stoyanovich/ MIA
I love my team on offense I have 3 number 1 WRs and 2 RB and one of the passing QBs in the game. I got 3 pass rushers and lucked into decent defensive talent.

Duncan is my only non speedster on O and he's not terribly slow. Think Jackson is similar speed though and runs over DB's but Duncan has perhaps better hands?

Alsacs I missed your Johnny Johnson pick - bravo - the cardinals could sneak up on you in Tecmo Johnson was a good back and had good speed and strength. I always liked him , FJN and a couple other players who were pretty good .

Duncan definitely has better hands and speed ( Jackson was faster than a lot of guys though) . Jackson is a little better in traffic it seems and in breaking a tackle or two. Jackson I always felt was more a wideout than TE in the game.

Alsacs last position selection is from the underrated Philadelphia defense DE Clyde Simmons and for my special draft pick selects kicker Pete Stoyanovich/ Dolphins. I left the best K for IO since I am sniping his guy.
Clyde = Monster
You've done well for yourself, and I like the supplemental in Stoyanovich!

Let me pick for CuseTroop unless he needs LB, then I will sort out my short list, should be done within the hour.

Looks like he needs a DT/DL so if we're drafting that as DE we can get it done.

2 good DE's in a quick glance are Lee Williams DE/SD or William Fuller DE/HOU. Anyone else have anyone better sitting on their draft board that I missed?

He's already got Fridge at NT but my boy Saleaumua is still there at NT if we want to give him a bruising front line.

With their final pick in the 2013 draft......
CuseTroop's Naked Nancies select Renaldo Turnbull, DE/NO

First off, he has the word bull at the end of his name.
Secondly, great combination of speed and strength. This guy has stomping power and probably one of the last ones out there to have that.
Pa-Pow!

0% chance I was looking at Saints players

Nice choices, but I just checked Bull's numbers. He has both by a hair or two. ;)

With their final pick in the 2013 draft...
Tee's Goobers select the very toight, the very sensual, the very overlooked Percy Snow, LB/KC

One of the most balanced ILBs in the game: speed, strength, interceptions, but might not excel in any one facet. Still, he will be my man in the middle of the front line ball-hawking and what not.

As my supplemental, I have to go with Rob Moore, WR/NYJ
Not a Jet fan, but he is Cuse...Baby.
