Terrence Clarke killed in car accident

While it's not the first or the last time this will happen this just makes me numb. So much pain, death and negativity in the past 14 months it's overwhelming. RIP young man and praying for that family. Boston was in the car behind him and saw it unfold.. just awful

it’s interesting because this is horrifically tragic, and it hurts more for college bball fans because we kind of feel like we know theses guys because they play a sport we love, but then again, this happens every day to people we don’t know, it really goes to show how we should be more compassionate to everyone.

The world needs a lot of compassion right now.

This is very true. I work in healthcare and one of the most impactful reminders for me of this is the patient experience training I went through. The Cleveland clinic put out a video as a part of that training that focused on the empathy required to best relate to the human experience—most people are going through something significant in their life that is very difficult. It is best to be considerate and compassionate.

I suck at this. I think if you copy and paste it will take you to the video I intended to upload. Maybe somebody better than me can make it easier for others to see.

Terrible. Sad. We recruited Clarke pretty hard early on. He attended campus for our Elite Camp in Summer ‘18 prior to his sophomore year, a few weeks after we initially offered. JB & Gerry visited him the the following Spring at Brewster, where he obviously played his Senior year with Kadary.

Absolutely terrible news. Quote from Calipari:

"I am absolutely gutted and sick tonight," Kentucky head coach John Calipari said. "A young person who we all love has just lost his life too soon, one with all of his dreams and hopes ahead of him. Terrence Clarke was a beautiful kid, someone who owned the room with his personality, smile and joy. People gravitated to him, and to hear we have lost him is just hard for all of us to comprehend right now. We are all in shock."
