Good for Jimbo getting paid but Saban isn’t going anywhere.

Florida State should never lose their coach for another college job. We as Syracuse fans have to accept any good season from now is going to likely cause our coach to leave.

A game in which they had no business losing and summed up A&M under Sumlin; they couldn't finish the job.

At least Florida State got a championship not too long ago. Fisher probably got tired of the fanbase especially this past season. He doesn't know delusional.

As an Orange fan, I want to beat the crap out of FSU but I do not believe they deserve to be punished with Schiano.

Agreed. FSU > TAMU in terms of college football prestige, but maybe the behind the scenes support was as bad as Jimbo's insinuated.

Part FSU and part Jimbo-self-inflicted.

From what I've read, it appears that Jimbo didn't get everything he wanted facility wise (wanted a $60MM football facility, compare with SU and Clemson, both for less than $20MM) and several other excessive items. FSU has fallen a little bit behind the SEC in facilities but that will stop as soon as cooler heads prevail (within a few years) as you cannot justify a private bowling alley, dedicated whiffle ball field for football players only, etc. In short, this is created by by both sides.

Add to that the insane fan base coupled with Jimbo's thin skin and failure to land two QB's after Jamies Winston and the mix was right for the fan base explosion. He will get thicker skin or he will be looking elsewhere in 2-3 years. He will not get five years to turn things around, especially since he has a decent team to work with (QB injuries at TAMU to start the season caused a few losses). Regardless, he had better beat Saban and LSU some of the time or he will not be in College Station long.

He just gave up a job for life as long as he averaged 9 wins annually and challenged for championships, which at FSU most of us could accomplish with the athletes ready to commit to FSU.

Hope Jimbo enjoys his mountain of money ... because his days as a wining coach competing for national championships are over. Sorry but A&M is not and never will be in the class with Alabama, LSU, even Auburn. in a few years Jimbo will be just another victim of the coaching carousel. FSU can be and is a perennial ACC champion and likely will continue to be if they make a good hire.

So Jimbo can recruit talent rich Florida well enough to win a N.C., but he can't in Texas? A place that has even more high level recruits than the place he just left?
