Yes - thanks Greeny.
Even Gottlieb said "The officiating was not up to the level of competition". (He'd never admit anything in favor of the 'cuse of course)
There is no question the ref's were just horrible in the first half and the calls were 3 to 1 against the 'cuse.
It was like they were tiring to even it out for giving Sullinger 2 fouls or something.
There’s no tiptoeing around it - the ref’s cost us the game - or at least a chance at the game. No question.
I'm tired of people saying you can’t blame the ref's; you can. It won't do you any good but let's call a spade a spade here.
I hope there is a follow up on this foul up. I'd love to see what disciplinary actions are taken.
Ands on a side note… great game Scoop – I apologize for questioning him in a post earlier in the month.
Thanks for a great season 'cuse.
I agree with this sentiment, but we have to admit, we executed poorly down the stretch, with something like 4 turnovers in our last 6 possessions, or something like that. What also hurt was that they let Craft reach and grab every time down the floor - and then the announcers call that "great defense" - it's what
Georgetown used to do all the time under the big guy - clutch and grab, and his extra little trick was that when they trapped, then would bend their knees into the guy with the ball and initiate contact that way. The refs are usually looking at your hands, and not your legs so much. G'town got away with that for years.
