Dear Board,

I’ve followed the board for the past three years as Adam’s journey progressed through several different stages. It has been a great ride and allowed me the opportunity to visit several parts of the country and meet some tremendous people. I attended every game the past two years with the exception of this year’s Pittsburgh game. A little over two years ago, after a spring practice I overheard a man call out to my son “Hey Natural” and immediately knew the man because of his posts. I stated your “Orange Eyes” and he eventually smiled and extended a hand saying yes. Thank you Orange Eyes for your dedication, loyalty and classiness to and for the board, you are truly a special man who bleeds orange. That day I was introduced to several other wonderful orange fans and board members including Sutomcat. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several others at practices, games (home and away) and at tailgates. I’m sure this goes both ways, but some never knew who I was and in some cases I never knew who you were. I even introduced myself to Calicuse at USC this year! I have been blessed with several new friendships of players, parents, coaches, and board parents. My son and I have a very close relationship, there is very little we don’t share. Out of respect to my son, his teammates, our coaches and the board, I never participated on the board but did enjoy reading it even when our opinions differed greatly (LOL) or when I knew the difference between the facts and fiction being tossed around. I thank all of you for your support not just of Adam but for our team. I’m humbled that my son truly lived and achieved his dream and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He never forgot who he was or where he came from and proudly played for the Orange always putting the team first. Hopefully his story, work ethic, and desire will/has been an inspiration to students and athletes of all ages and levels. Adam will be at Newhouse for grad school next fall and will be doing a GA with the Whitman School of Business. Although Adams football career is over, he will continue to represent the Orange by throwing shot and discus for the track & field team. I look forward to following the Orange football team and reading the board although this will likely be my only post. Hopefully several of our paths will cross again at future games. Although we aren’t going Bowling this year, we still have much to be thankful for. Thanks again for your support and best wishes ,

Merry Christmas to all and keep on posting.

Sincerely,

Leo Harris

Your son personifies what a student/athlete should be. His story is an inspiration to all and proof that with had work and dedication, dreams can come true. Adam is a class act and (it appears that the apple didn't fall far from the tree) and I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thanks, Mr. Harris
This should motivate us to reel in our rhetoric a bit, given that some of our convictions may be based on false assumptions.

That is one classy post, thank you sir. Good luck to Adam, he is a credit to his family and SU.

Good Luck to Adam...Happy Holidays to you and your family!

We're honored to have you here and want to honor your son as well. Adam is a success story and a great representative for SU and college athletics in general. We share your pride in a young man who has used his opportunities wisely and look for good things from him in the future. Best wishes to you all.

Adams a great representative of SU. Wish we could have an entire team of him. Happy holidays!

Mr. Harris, I met you and talked briefly at the Akron tailgate last year. You did a great job raising your son. You should be proud. good luck to him.

Nice post by a proud dad. Your son has a great future ahead of him.

Well that post was just all sorts of excellent.

It's a damn shame that Adam's career has been cut short, but clearly he's got better things coming down the road.

Great to hear he'll be in Grad School! So smart to just keep going and get through it at such a young age. Merry Christmas to you, too!

Leo,

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I'm sure it got both frustrating and amusing to read some of the stuff on this board as an insider. Best of luck to you and your family.

Great stuff, Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thanks for posting. You should be extremely proud of your son on so many levels. May you and your family have a Merry Christmas!

Good luck to Adam. You should be proud.

Mr. Harris,

I've had the opportunity to meet Adam a few times, he is truly as good a person off the field as he was a player on the field. It is truly unfortunate that he won't be able to play next year, but it is great to hear that he's continuing his education, and will remain a part of Syracuse University. He is really a credit to our whole school.

I was glad to be able to shake his hand and congratulate him following the Tulane game. A great young man making the most of his opportunities. He's got a lot going for him.

Best of luck to you, Adam, and the rest of the family.

Someone on here joked about wanting the highest like to post ratio. Well, I think it's going to be a little hard now. :D

Adam has, and will continue to be, a great Orange representative. I have enjoyed reading his "story" over the past couple of years and watching him due the dirty work with so much heart. So glad you took the time to post.
