The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

Looks like this weather might wipe out all their official visitors for this weekend...LOL
I work literally a mile or 2 from Rutgers. We should be getting roughly a foot of snow, give or take 6 inches. It's supposed to start late Friday night and end on Sunday. Depending on the airports, it is possible they could get visitors in prior to the storm hitting, but a lot will depend on not only Newark, but other airports as well.

And now they're complaining (well some of them, at least) that Babers is pulling scholarships. They are questioning his integrity and thankful that Ash hasn't done the same (though that depends on which mods you believe over there). That said, with the rate they are losing commits, Ash didn't have to pull any schollies.

I am shocked no one posted this fun fact in this thread yet:

"Six years had passed since Rutgers's last big athletics purchase — a $102 million expansion of the football stadium, which the former athletics director said would help finally make the department financially self-sufficient. That plan hasn’t worked yet. In 2014, Rutgers's athletics deficit topped $36 million, an amount equivalent to losing $1, every second, for a year."

Right now, 7 of their first 10 threads on their "football" forum are about snow. The only one about football is the thread about how SU/Babers is pulling schollies.

Thank god we missed the "storm" that is Ash. It's much more fun arguing about NYS recruits on the recruiting board, while at the same time getting commits, when the rest of our competition is being buried in snow than freaking out about Ash.

Sorry for the run on sentence, it's the only thing I'm good at.

You are also good at ending sentences with prepositions.;)

If anyone wants to know the current score from this weekend, it's Syracuse 5 - Rutgers 0.

Edit: Well, lo and behold, it's now Syracuse 5 - Rutgers 1.

Physics indicates there are 31,556,926.0 seconds in a year - so that is more than $1 per second! I wish I could gain money at that rate.

I also saw an article about their continuing $$$ problems - not sure now if this is it:

A kicker at that...
one of their last ones was quite the actor on the field.

Vigoda had quick hips and could cover like a mother.

Michigan players seemed clueless too :p.

Funniest thing I ever saw was in a rec ball game. Our team was taking a free throw after a foul on a made basket, missed it, the other team rebounded the ball under our basket but amazingly automatically put up the missed free throw - scoring 2 more for us. The ref , everyone was laughing. I then gave the ball to a player on the other team to take out of bounds. She stepped out, then threw it right back to me right under our basket saying "it's your team's ball, we made the basket". I again laughed and said I don't think so but she said again "hey it's your ball". I shrugged, passed it to a teammate 3 feet away on the other side of our basket (seemed cruel that I put it up myself- we were already killing them)who made the layup and got fouled. She made that foul shot. So we scored 7 points in 3 seconds. Still makes me laugh. The refs had more fun talking about it than we even did.

Check out there thread about the decommit, meltdown city. A must read.

Stay classy Rutty: "Screw Bergen Catholic. This kid looks like an absolute loser. This is another reason why Flood needed to go. The next time you see this kid he will be asking you if you want fries with your burger."
