And you guys brought in a point guard from Duke to play QB. So what?So a guy who threw 3 passes in 3 seasons at TCU, is still in the running, speaks volumes about what they had

SU brought in a highly regarded local high school QB to be the starting QB. Between those stints he happened to play some hoops. And you guys brought in a point guard from Duke to play QB. So what?

rutgers main nb campus was awful . i am not sure what it is today. new brunswick has undergone somewhat of a minor urban renaissance, thanks to j&j, and is quite nice in some areas. the other campuses are very modern looking but lots of green areas. the one difference is douglas college which was very nice. ru like u say is sprawling, as most large state u's are. su is far superior in attractiveness than ru main campus. like u i went to grad school there (many moons ago).i do think the tailgating is superior to su in terms of ambiance. however many areas are a significant bus ride away., unlike manley and skytop. when i go to ru i leave early and park in johnson park which is across the street from the stadium. back in the mid 70's i used to take my kids to games there and you could park in the fields just outside the stadium, wait til halftime and get in for free. they only got at best about 15-20 thousand. actually, it was really nice "old school" stuff and the glee club would roam the tailgates singing songs. different kind of fan base back then. very friendly, as most small school university football games are . tongue in cheek humor etc. have gone to 1-2 games a year since then, and the fan base is horrible, particularly the fans of their non existent hoops program. they take the cake for the dumbest, lack of hoops knowledge and rudest ignorant group i have ever seen at a hoops game.I went to both schools. Syracuse undergrad and Rutgers for grad school. I lived in both cities. Downtown New Brunswick is not great. However, the outskirts (more towards the university) are very nice. Rutgers is actually in the process of moving the central focus of the university to Livingston campus (which is across the river) instead of college ave. I think college age will always be the more desirable location based on off campus housing and nightlife though.
Anyway... I looked up crime rates for both cities. Syracuse has a higher violent crime rate and a higher property crime rate than New Brunswick. Both of which are well above the national averages. Having the experience of living in both locations... I wouldn't put one over the other. Both have their nice spots. Both have their bad spots. I know people from both schools who were mugged.
As a side note. I liked Syracuse's campus more than Rutgers. Rutgers has like 5 campus a few minutes from each other so it is very spread out and sometimes a pain to get from class to class. I think I'm one of the rare people on this board (maybe in the country) that support both teams lol.
Too bad for Zach. Both Laviano and he have two years left to fight it out.

The Rutgers board is not happy.
Some people graduate faster than others. He only spent 3 years at TCU. He was a freshman in Shafer's first year.isn't Allen a grad transfer?
Sooooooo lemmie get this right. Ash is bringing in a spread option offense but picking the least mobile QB to run it because he has the better arm, like the kind suited to run a pro style offense....did i get that right?

He actually has the weakest arm of all of them. Hayden Rettig is the 4* pro style guy with a huge arm. He isnt even in contention for the backup spotSooooooo lemmie get this right. Not much. Hes an average passer and average runner. He is by far the best leader thoughSo what's good about this newly named starter?
The rule applies to all graduates regardless of how long it takes them to do it. There seem to be more folks lately who redshirt and manage to graduate in 3 years, so they'll have 2 years of eligibility available if they transfer. UVa has picked up a transfer QB from East Carolina who fits this situation.i thought the rule only applied to 5th year seniors.
