Let me preface this by saying that I’m all for watching Rutgers self implode weekly against group of 5 schools and lose 70-0 against Big 10 teams. With that being said I really like what Ash at the helm does for our program so I’m kind of hoping they find a way to win about 4 or maybe 5 games and keep him...
Two wins. Three if everything goes right.
Lots of their posters are predicting a win over BC. Even though Dazzler dazzles, there is no way they beat BC.
This just in - coach Ash is holding out on announcing his starting QB for Friday nights game. He feels he needs to keep his decision close to the vest to gain a competitive advantage against Ohio State??
No, UMASS.
That, plus 2-3 trick plays and a well timed turnover could push them over the top. Here's hoping this trickeration backfires.
Here’s the latest sign that McLane Carter will be Rutgers’ starting quarterback against UMass
McLane Carter sounds like a trust fund kid who is now on a rowing scholarship to Yale. His brother’s name is likely either Wellington or Fitzy, who’s a middy on the Dartmouth lax team. Their grandfather was surely an investment banker for Goldman.
Or the Rutgers’ QB. Either or.
I remember one of their recruiting experts came on this board and lectured us all on how much better Lewis was than Devito, how the Rutgers coaching staff knew how to evaluate true talent at quarterback much better than the Syracuse staff, etc.Remember Johnathon Lewis, the NJ QB Rutgers fans were glad to get rather than Devito? The QB who is now a TE, and would probably play quit a bit? Out for the season, ruptured achilles. Sucks, worse kind of injury too.
haha
ESPN Has Released Its Initial "Bottom 10" Rankings
"ESPN’s weekly “Bottom 10” rankings are a who’s who of who’s bad in college football. You don’t want your team’s name on this list.
The best thing about the “Bottom 10,” which is put together by longtime ESPN writer Ryan McGee, is that he doesn’t just pick on the little guys. McGee is unafraid to put Power 5 teams in the mix.
The initial “Bottom 10” for the 2019 season was released this morning. Only one Power 5 team made the cut, though two others did get mentioned indirectly.
Here are the 10 unlucky entrants:
Rutgers is the lone Power 5 representative right now, though Louisville, Oregon State, Kansas and a couple of others are knocking on the door."
- UTEP
- Rice
- UConn
- San Jose State
- Week Zero Performances
- New Mexico State
- UMass
- Central Michigan
- Coastal Carolina
- Rutgers
No way cuz his name would be:He’s a transfer from Texas Tech.
No way cuz his name would be:
Cody or Levi or Chase Carter
Based on this, the Rutgers-Umass opening game should be a winnerhaha

53 isn't a scam if you looked at the underlying numbers from last year, as well as our recruiting class in comparison to our peers. We got "lucky" by the numbers last year due to our special teams and turnovers, and that's why regression to the mean could happen this year.Rutgers currently sitting at 111 in the S&P+ rankings, one spot behind...
Liberty.
Cuse comes in at 53 which is a scam.
I believe our final sp+ was 40 which is obviously significantly worse than our final ranking, but maybe that says more about sp+ than last year’s team.53 isn't a scam if you looked at the underlying numbers from last year, as well as our recruiting class in comparison to our peers. rutgers paved over the first football field. they should pave over their new football field as well.
I admire your forthrightness and maybe even courage. But you must realize that many have amnesia on the breaks we got and can only point to the luck others had that kept us from going 13-0.53 isn't a scam if you looked at the underlying numbers from last year, as well as our recruiting class in comparison to our peers. You ruin everything...but you already know that. Don't you. I have been actually saying the same thing. But I don't ruin anything. Still, I think 8 wins is bare min for this bunch.53 isn't a scam if you looked at the underlying numbers from last year, as well as our recruiting class in comparison to our peers. SU was on this list frequently in the 1970's.
I do think someone else had the bottom 10 at that time.Thats interesting because espn didnt launch until september 1979
Think about who wrote that. The king of strife.Thats interesting because espn didnt launch until september 1979
