The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I usually avoid schadenfreude but after two nights of bad sports fandom I had to look at the dumpster fire that is Rutgers and than God that I am not a fan of the Knights of the Raritan realm. The fans on the rovals site have a thread calling for Shady to be fired.

Not to worry Orange faithful, Big 10 lurkers and all others who visit this thread to be amused at how bad a fan base may be, the thread contains many who defend Shady, blaming coordinators, players, injuries (just ignore the obvious matter that all those 5 & 4 star recruits are not playing up to FCS standards), anyway, there are still those who believe Shady is the savior of all things Rutgers.

This schadenfreude thing is not all bad, as stated above, thanks to God that I am NOT a Rutgers fan. I will take SU's issues all day every day before glomming on to Rutgers issues.

Yes. This guy is a 2026. You have to get QBs you like every year. At least that was true before the portal...
Maybe even more important with the advent of the "No-Sit-Out" transfer.

I refuse to blame "The Portal". The Portal is just a website that takes the blame for the havoc caused by "No-it-Out" transfers.

Shady is gonna Shady. Rutgers facing uphill odds decided to beat Vegas at their own game. Rutgers was +10 with BYE coming to town, a very ugly line by the oddsmakers. Shady, to beat the odds and the embarrassment of being the first to lose to BYE this season, forfeited the game. Shady is claiming a victory as Rutgers football "beat" the odds. This "victory" apparently triggers an undisclosed bonus. Three professors has been "asked" to retire to free up money to pay said bonus. Rutgers academia are protesting but because Rutgers football stinks, nobody provides any coverage.

In other news, New Jersey State Police has been asked to investigate college football coaches gaming the system and placing bets on CFB games. Rumor has it that a meat headed football coach wearing a red shirt with a big "R" on it was seen loitering outside of Caesar's in Atlantic City. When asked for comment, a Rutger's spokesperson responded with "No Comment".

From the Rutgers board at Rovals (you know the drill):

In my best Bruce Johnson impression:

Well fans, it’s all over here in Piscataway with our final score, Bye 28 and the Scarlet Knights 7. See you next week when the Minnesota Gophers come to play your Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a huge B1G tilt. Good evening and good luck.”
____
It will take more than a Greg Cleanup to set us to a bowl. .it will take a very large MIRACLE
____

A bye week is not helping the kinda
[sic] injuries our key guys have. Most of which are already out for the season
____
I'm enjoying my Saturday away from Rutgers football a little too much. Starting to wonder why I put myself through this aggravation every fall Saturday.

Even the Rutgers fans knew that BYE would take their toll on the Scarlet Knights Soup Cans. Dumpster fire does no describe Rutgers football. Maybe Dumpster Fired squared or cubed?

So nice that the hottest team in the Big 10 the last month is coming to play Rutgers. Will be interesting to see tweaked out Row the Boat’s face when Schiano goes for his QBs knees when they are in victory formation

Oops.
