The all-inclusive Rutgers dumpster fire thread...

You sure? Just look at the two posts by HtownOrange on this page. "Most" are bashing Rutgers, true, but smart move is make it as close to "all" as we can. Stay classy Syracuse.
Reread my last post. You will see that I shift any complaints against NJ at the feet of Rutgers.

Regardless, Rutgers is at best a pretender. Their fans are far more disparaging of Syracuse U and the city. If they feel harmed by someone who has worked on the environmental matters for a few years, oh well. Denial on their part is their real issue, not a repeating for fact.

In sports, history matters the most to fans when their program currently isn't very good.
Not true, History always matters even when your good, You probably don't know hockey but do you think Chicago Blackhawks ignore there history because they won the cup this year?

we should be proud of Syracuse Football historical achievements, not degrading it.

I would reply but since you missed my point, I'm not sure how to go about replying. Maybe you replied to the wrong person.

Maybe I missed the point

I don't really want to rehash it all at this point and I don't mean that to sound like a . But I was never degrading our history or implying that the history of a program doesn't matter.

Rutgers sucks and that's all that really matters in this thread.

"Kyle Flood was told by the university's academic support staff not to contact a university professor regarding the academic status of a likely starting defensive player and did so anyway, two university officials told NJ Advance Media."

Since 'university officials' leaked this, it tells me Flood is gone. I don't think they wanted him in the first place (hence the ridiculously low salary he was originally paid), but they didn't have a lot of choices at the time. Now that they are in the B1G (I still can't get over typing that), they can afford better candidates. I think they have been looking for a way to get rid of him since they joined the conference. Now they have a way.

He gone.

Rutgers still stinks. Which stunk first? Rutgers football as a bottom feeder or the chemical wastelands.
Raritan River is dirtier than Onondaga Lake.
Which reminds me of an old joke -

Q. Which state has the most toxic waste dumps?
A. New Jersey

Q. Which state has the most lawyers?
A. California

Q. Why does New Jersey have the most toxic waste dumps and California the most lawyers?
A. New Jersey had first pick.

NJ Advance Media reported on Aug. 25 that Flood was under investigation by the university, Rutgers' fourth-year head coach said he's "had a lot of interaction with the teachers on our campus'' and noted that he welcomed two faculty members at a recent training camp practice.

He's just not too bright here is he?.....

Flood out, Fridge in?

Doubt it. The Fridge is a dinosaur pushing almost 70 years old. If they got rid of Flood, they would go all in for bringing Schiano back would be my guess.

Love this part...note the last two words and how they were brought out.

"Flood received a two-year extension in September, and he is set to earn $1.25 million this year. His buyout is $1.4 million if he is dismissed without cause."

What fired? No, we at Rutgers call it early retirement. You follow these fine uniformed officers with a check for $1.4 million. You get paid to leave, think about how well that worked out for that Marrone fella in Buffalo.

Police presence? Please don't tell me she is going to have him escorted from the premises. Of course, anything she does will not surprise me

I wasn't really paying attention to this thread anymore, but this is getting good now! They're the gift that keeps on giving year round - just like the jelly of the month club.
