The Annual Bubble Discussion Thread - 2021 Version

Lunardi has Oklahoma at 14-9 losing 4 straight in over us still.
Thats 7 out of 10 big 10 teams, knocking out the 8th out of 15 acc teams. If Duke was 8th this wouldn't even be a discussion.
Come on man.
Their only good ooc opponent was xavier and they loss big.

Lol it’s Lunardi. I bet we will be ahead of them on the Matrix by after the weekend.
Yeah St Louis and seton are not ahead of us. Lunardi just being dumb. If Xavier loses we might be in as of tonight

Oklahoma has 5 quad 1 wins. They are clearly in the field over Cuse

It feels like Marquette has missed their last 20 jump shots.

That's true... UVA lit Cuse up earlier this year, but the 3 point defense was non-existent. You can't give open looks to Hauser and Murphy and expect them to miss.

On a side note, I'm friends with the father of one of the UVA players (a starter). He mentioned that his son was commenting on how good of a player Kadary is and how difficult it is to guard him.
This is all to the good, but Kadary is injured. We don’t know what we’re going to see on Wednesday. I am praying, lighting incense and candles, and doing snow dances, but I’m not at all certain it’s going to heal him. Or Q!

I feel so out of control.

The idea that Lunardi gas Mich State and Xavier in is absurd. They are 3 GAMES UNDER .500 in conference. Xavier is 1 game under .500 in conference.

Appreciate the effort and don't forget to include Marek!

I agree that Kadary's injury is concerning. However, seeing him play against Clemson makes me believe he'll play in the ACCT, especially with our tourney lives on the line. This also gives him a full week of treatment to recover.

Big East only gets 3 teams in if the BET holds court IMO
Again the NET has nothing to do with tournament resumes nor any of the sorting of the individual team profiles...

in my rooting interest

Win basketball games. Clemson went 10-6. Virginia is 12-4.

Virginia beat Clemson by 30 in Clemson.

Virginia beat clemson by 30 in a post covid pause game it happens to everybody. jrd conference record means nothing in the selection process. What are your quad 1 , 2 splits, do you have any bad losses thats what the committee looks at

We’re going to get in again and anger a lot of people haha. Gottlieb’s head might explode. As much as I hate being on the bubble seemingly every year recently, it is pretty amazing that no matter what, we somehow find a way to at least almost always be in the bubble discussion.

Getting in is all that matters. Seeding this year will be even less relevant than normal.
