Here's a glance at a some programs in the ACC. Not that everything is posted on these sites, but it gives you a good idea of where we stand in the ACC. Where do you think we honestly stand?

Clemson's facilities are simply amazing. I can see how a recruit can get caught up in all that. Just Wow!!!

Doesn't Pitt share their practice facility with the steelers?

Well I forgot BC's, they kind are similar to ours. Other than that, definitely bottom 3 or 4.

Indoor I believe. Training room, weight room, players lounge, etc are all separate

good lord...the gameday atmostphere at Clemson alone is lightyears ahead of us.

I happen to really love the Dome as a football venue.

I think the issue is all the silver you see. My guess is that this isn't 30 minutes prior to game time. I bet this is three minutes in,

We are dead last and not even close. Not even worth debating but according to some it's not an issue. It's a damn big issue. If we don't have donors then go ******* find them... They aren't interested

Duke even looked a step ahead

LOL.

This! Translated = EBO tours Clemson facilities = then gets a tour of our renovated "Manley" 80 yard practice field. Think back to when you were 17-18, what would you think? A picture is worth a thousand words and "action" speaks louder than words.

If Marrone stays and EBO picks SU - Marrone is doing far more than anyone here gives him credit. All this pissing and moaning about Marrone this and Marrone that and his ability to recruit has to stop. And people wonder why we dont get 4 star recruits...nice summary CIL.

There is absolutely no reason Syracuse shouldn't be able to raise the money needed for a Georgia Tech style practice facility over the course of a couple years. The Georgia Tech building cost $7 million and half that cost was covered by a gift from Coca Cola Chair John Brock and his wife. I can't believe SU can't find an alum who would be willing to purchase "naming rights" for $3.5 million. Or how about a 20% "seed" contribution of $1.4 million from a well respected football alum to kick-off a general fundraiser to name the new facility after Coach Mac?

Seems ridiculous that we can't come up with the funds to build a practice facility. Sounds to me like we have the wrong people in charge of fundraising.

We are never going to have the type of facilities that a Clemson or most anyone down south has. Never never never. But if it makes people feel better to think we should, knock yourselves out.

Agreed - didnt word my point correctly. I was referring more about Marrone and we should all give him far more credit for getting the recruits that we got and even more so if someone like EBO comes here versus what Clemson offers given the game day environment and facilities it offers. But like everyone is saying, our current facilities are a liability that needs to get fixed so it stops being a major stumbling block on the recruiting trail.

By the way, I did hear that things are heating up behind the scenes but no details yet.

I love the dome too, and yes the issue I was trying to portray was all the silver. I knew someone would bring up the band, and that its probably halftime, but cmon, we all know that our games do look like that sometimes.

How about UConn? Rutgers? Anyone want to search any of the CUSA, MWC etc facilities, I bet a number of their teams blow the doors off ours as well.

If Smith and Ogundeko commit this week, we should all pitch in to send Marrone and his wife to a spa somewhere.

Damn Bees, you just burst my bubble!

Nothing more than what you would expect after the big ESPN announcement and people/donors contacting university officials about what's going on and what's next and how to keep DM here. Hopefully if DM stays, this may end up being extremely positive from a facilities perspective. I dont blame TGD for cancelling his weekly show today.

Personally (non source), if you really want to keep an alum as a coach, you build a "fence" around him and put "golden" handcuffs on him so he would never even consider interviewing. I would rather pay an "known" quantity and an alum that bleeds orange big $$$$$ than take a chance on a guy like "Skip Holtz" pre USF.
