The B1G

At least Maryland and Rutty are here to save the day for them! The pillar programs are all blown out in high profile games, and nw/Purdue/Iowa/Illinois/Nebraska lose to or struggle with the Mac or worse. Brilliant day.

Now time for the ACC to actually get some respect from the talking heads

The ACC will have five ranked teams come Monday and Duke probably should be ranked as well. And the B1G has eliminated itself from the playoff in week two. That's just awesome
Could be more, no?

FSU
Clemson
Va Tech
Louisville
North Carolina
Pitt?
Duke?

So the entire big ten is eliminated from the playoffs before Syracuse is. Wonder what the odds wouldve been for that prop bet after last week?
Not "eliminated," per se -- and I find this an enjoyable exercise -- but let's map out the four: FSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Alabama? There's still USC and the rest of the SEC to consider before OSU and MSU.

Great to see. I surprised myself rooting for ND and VT but whatever, feels good now

I hated the ACC for along time. Whatever bad feelings I had for the ACC isn't even in the same time zone as how much I cannot stand the B1G. The B1G embodies everything wrong with college sports in that they cheat, care about money over all and also engage in NCAA taint licking hypocrisy when Gordon Gee on one end says they'll have more money than god at the same time that Delaney says they'll drop to D3 if they have to pay athletes.

Maybe RutgersAl was right Rutgers is the number 1 team in the Big Ten.
Michigan State showed they were a top 10 team at Oregon but the rest of the conference blows. VPI beat them Buckeyes by 2TDs in the Shoe. Michigan pooped their pants big time. Iowa and Nebraska needed last minute TDs to beat McNeese State and Whitlock U.
The ACC now has Florida State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Clemson, Louisville as legit top 25 teams.
The ACC middle class Pitt, Virginia, Duke have looked solid.
Syracuse, NC State have zero losses thus far, Miami has potential and only
Wake forest has looked bad.

When you have a receiver like Boyd and a running back like Conner , with solid supporting cast , you are a top 25 team , maybe top 10.

Pitt isn't a top 25 team but if they are a solid 8 win team that helps the middle class of the ACC look better when the conference as a whole is perceived when the committee meets in December and assesses each conference for playoff berths.

the pac 10 will have no undefeated teams, im starting to doubt the acc will either and it wont be shocking if the SEC doesnt too.

I think I will wait until they play somebody before I elevate them to that lofty perch. They have another 3 games before they are tested. With their schedule, they could go 5-0 before being tested. If they do go 5-0 they might get some votes - maybe enough to get into the bottom of the T25 but they won't stay there. IMO Pitt doesn't have a QB to be a top 25 team.

Their game against Iowa and SU"s against Maryland could really solidify the ACC's status .

Plenty of football to be played before you can say they eliminated themselves from the playoff. MSU runs the table? They're in the discussion. Not a lock (schedule blows), but in the discussion.
