The Badgers 3 pt shooting

We typically don't get beat by teams that live or die by the 3. We lose to teams that have great outside shooting AND a great low post presence. I don't see that in Wiscy.

We beat Florida who loves to shoot the three at the same rate as Wiscy, but they also had Patrick Young.

On the offensive rebounding question, for most of the time when I've been watching Wisconsin this year (and in year's past), the Badgers only send two (sometimes one) guy to the offensive boards. Their intention is not allow other teams to get into transition, so they always have guys back. I would think we would be okay in snaring boards on the defensive end, especially if the guards continue to scrape back and assist in the effort.

Wisky will have trouble stopping us. We are much quicker, more athletic, balanced. If we shoot decently we will win. Half (yes, half) of Wisky's FG attempts are 3's. Against us probably will be higher. We need to keep or poise because the slow pace frustrates teams into rushing and getting loose with the ball. It will be low scoring like a 57-53 game.

Game tempo is what will give us fits.
Wisky plays like a better USF or ND (when they beat us), using a "burn-like" offense that lulls you to sleep, then kills you with back-cuts or long jumpers.
This team has shown it can win close grind-it-out games, as well as track meets.
Also, they have no answer for JSouth, Dion/Scoop's quickness, & KJo (if he shows up for a full game). and their guards are small though Taylor is very good.
It'll be close but I see a 5-7 point win, which is more like 15 pts against Wisky.

Watching the games yesterday, I think Wiscosnin and K0State are pretty similar defesnively. The Badgers have a lot mnore firepower. K-State's shooting was pathetic. We will need to stay on the shooters in this one.

Any game at this stage is a difficult game and saying "boy, I'm glad we are playing these guys instead of the other guys" doesn't cut it.
