Last Season, The NCAA put Syracuse in the situation where they were against another dangerous Big East opponent in the second round.

Is it a stretch to think the committee won't put Syracuse in another potential tough matchup with a good Big East opponent early on?

No matter how good Syracuse may be, it is always a difficult matchup with a team like Marquette or Georgetown in the NCAA's, since they are familiar with your system & they are top 20 caliber.

I only hope they stick some other Big East schools in a tough spot in the earlier rounds, & give the CUSE a breather at the outset...

Hopefully, it won't be necessary, since there may not be more than 6 teams from the Big East in the Tourney.

Won't happen. You better believe we will be set up to play Virginia or FSU in the second round though. Committee loves to set up these little dramas in the 2nd round. Also after tonight, we'll either lose the East #1 to Duke or have UNC as the #2 in that region with us.

If Syracuse wins the Big East regular season, we will get a #1 seed. No doubt there.

However, I do agree we will get a tough second round opponent, because the committee loves to screw with us.

When they put the committee together each year, the first round of business is how to make SU's path the most difficult. Then they set the seeds around that.

Every committee member is required to grow a handlebar mustache and carry with them a Persian cat when they go to do the seeding.

And you only get on the committee after successfully tying at least one woman to some train tracks.
