It's March 25 and the crew is at lunch
the weather is good no frozen snow on which to crunch
A good morning was had by all due to two girders set in place
by Walt and his cousin Skylar - this has turned into a race
I just counted spirals going counter clockwise all around
don't know for sure but the one Walt put up looks like 44
the number of which we all like the sound
It really is a fortunate thing for us Craniacs for what we see
going up is history we can tell our grandchildren about
as they play behind our backs.
It will be all too soon when this project is done – Walt the crews
gone but it will, I bet, be covered all over in the news
The New Dome Craniacs what fun and interesting times we've had
commenting, speculating, hypothesizing, prognosticating we spoke
about it all one to the other and for most of the time we've had a ball
We have become important in our own way even the construction company
reads our posts and responds to our wishes getting the camera back
the way we wanted - it almost seems they find our wants delicious
We have a long way to go fellow Cranicas - hopefully we'll all see the crew
get this huge project completed with the wind at their backs
For now I am going to the place I spend most of my time
watching something beautiful being created why it almost rhymes.
