External Elevator shafts are added to older buildings all the time. The Dome also has a bunch of back room service areas that could provide room for shafts internal to the shell too.

This is true. The Dome's only existing elevator was added, as an external addition, after the ADA became law and they wanted to make some accessibility improvements (including two new accessible entrances and the stair-free access from Irving via the new garage and bridge).

When we did lighting for our 100k warehouse it was $25k

No way this is $25k
The cost just to get electric run up there would be well over $1 mil. You couldn't get a site survey to find out what you would actually need for materials for under probably $200K.

If Carrier and some other companies were still together as part of UTC then there could be AC, elevators and escalators... and a certain company’s name could still be associated with our enclosed stadium.
The new Carrier Corp spinoff has Carrier and Kidde. They could do a lot in the Dome.

Can someone please price out rope lights from Walmart and figure out how many we need?
Using GPS Pictometry reports, the exterior rim of the dome is 1940 linear feet. Assuming we're using that surface to put up the lighting (because the new data isn't uploaded yet with the truss system) and commercial grade exterior rope lighting ($168.99/150FT) we're looking at $2,196.87 for pre-tax material cost.

We'll need 13 rolls of it.

But are they blinky ones?

Not sure if we will get any truss work today. Supposed to get windy with some wind gusts in the 30 to 40 range.

I am hoping for some vinyl siding on the dome. Would really spruce it up.

the other issue is that you can only plug in a few of these in series so we need a few dozen extension cords right? and those we can get in orange so that works
Hopefully Sala realizes this and installs some more electrical outlets!! Extension cords would look tacky...am I right?

We could get Ralphie's father from A Christmas Story to help with running the cords. He knows how to change fuses in case of a problem
