St. Frances (or more accurately that Martin kid) fell to pieces in the final 3-4 minutes. Some of it was the pressure of the situation, but it was also the first time the crowd seemed like it was vaguely interested.

Now, I realize we didn't really give them too much to cheer about, but I have to wonder if a more raucous environment would have rattled the opposition a little earlier and made it less of a knee-knocker.

Small, disinterested crowd tonight that thought it was about to see an easy win. Team reacted the same way as did this board, which didn't even have a chat room or a game thread. We were ripe for an upset.

It was a small crowd but we were not disinterested. You know, most of us had to walk through hail on the way there. It hurt! The people who were there very much wanted to see improvement from our guys, and when it started out same old same old, it had a deadening effect. You need something to cheer about! At the end of the game the crowd was loud but not proud. We were imploring them to play defense and then score. The crowd helped them win!

I always get a little defensive when it comes to the crowd. Sorry.

Sorry, I know you were fully supportive.
