The Dome was empty...again. Where are the fans?

I barely want to move to my couch to watch this can’t blame those who have to trudge up the hill
I’m replaying Ocarina of time for the millionth time so I can get to a cool dungeon for my 6-year-old nephew. I had the game pulled up on my phone; that’s how little I cared to watch this game.

The head of event staff told me 7,100 people walked through the gate

AD just don't get it. you're never gonna fill this place coasting along mid pack and playing lower and slower paced sub ACC division 1 level. people want to see excitement. a show. a slam and jamboree and people want to see winners. they'll come back when syracuse teams start playing for division titles and are once again respected nationally. til then don't hold your breath wildhack.

This is correct

I have season tickets. Have gone once in the last two years and I live in camillus. And i sit in the blue seats. Last year my kid wanted to see cooper flag so we went to the dook game.

Edit: all seats are blue. Sorry, the blue chairs.
All the chairs are blue seats

We have definitely lost our identify. I know some people don’t want to hear it, but that started when we left the Big East. I know we made the move we had to make, but the result and consequence was part of what we are seeing.
Obviously, although many deny it. Beast of the East to least of the whatever. From day one the handwriting was on the wall. People mistakenly assumed that the ACC would improve our recruiting. It did the opposite.

In the recent past we were only able to get second tier basketball players. Now we have better athletes who are bad basketball players. They take bad shots, are slow passing the ball, and can't hit threes or freebies at the line. The ACC is a deep south conference.

The move was done to save football but when the next round of realignment comes we will be lucky if the Big East takes us back because, unless we have a miracle turnaround, football will have no home.

i spent 2 weeks at TRU in camillus. my room looked at the roof of Costco. about as interesting as the dome experience.

We had a top 20 recruiting class this year and have 5 former top 50 HS players on the roster. That’s more than 2013. Just moronic you keep repeating this garbage.

This game shows the fans were right to storm the court after Tennessee win.

That likely will be the season highlight
Because this is a third rate team that is miles from what the Orange used to be.
When a court storming was unthinkable because fans expected to
Win every game.

there just isn't a product worth paying to see anymore. these kids are not good basketball players and the coach is a joke who mumbles his way through every press conference apologizing for not doing a good job. I guarantee if any of us performed at work the way red does we would be fired on the spot!

There’s nothing innovative to get people to the games. This time when students are gone they should literally be selling seats for $5. 7,100 people walked through the gates today I was told. Yet the women got 10,000 people and kids to the game because of great thinking to partner with the schools. Selling tickets for $60-90 as “standard admission” on Ticketmaster is insane. Get people there. They buy something at concessions. Makes zero sense to me to let 15,000 seats go empty for no reason.

I mean if you’re looking for a view from a hotel, I would suggest the Caribbean. I’ve been to many major city hotels with a view of the parking lot below.

I was thinking the same sitting at the dome for the football finale against BC. It seemed like the perfect time to offer something for those dedicated enough to show up. Tickets to a less marquee basketball game or something along those lines would have been perfect. I’d be there spending money on concessions at a game, but it’s likely I’ll just sit out basketball season.

or the HVAC. but since we're no longer Carrier...
