Last night towards the end of the game, I made a comment in jest, that I will be entering the fan transfer portal after the game. To be clear I have zero interest in cheering for anybody else or against Syracuse. And my interest in College Basketball is way down, so I'm not seeking a new team.

If anything what has already started "transferring" is my attention away from Syracuse and college basketball -- and transferring to other sport teams or other non sports items in my life -- and its been more than just a couple of years. I don't look forward to many Syracuse games anymore, and have missed following many of them this year. Had to be close to 10 games this year, where I realized late after game start, or after the game, or even the next day that we had just played a game.

I just want a season where Syracuse games are somewhat relevant again. Where we are relevant again in the national picture. Heck even the NCAA tournament.

When things start to go bad it really bothers you at first... but its getting far removed from that point of being bothered, to where its now apathy for me anyway. And that's a scary thing in the NIL world, where you need fan momentum and attention ... it's a dangerous cycle.

This reminds me of a Colin Cowherd segment from years back. Fans could call in, tell him who they rooted for, and he would award them a new team.

I really applaud those of you that watched hoops this season. I want those 10 minutes of my life back. Finally learned my lesson after nearly 30 years of fandom.

Lol I didn't.

I'm an idiot.

I can relate. It was frustrating as we were sliding, more so that when people made logical arguments that it was happening, the orange colored glasses crowd simply told everyone to "Move on. Nothing to see here. Everything is normal." Then I started checking out a few years ago as it continued to accelerate and it was obvious the effort needed to turn the ship was not being put forth. Now, as we reach GRob level dysfunction, I just can't prioritize SU basketball games and, therefore, don't care all that much about college basketball. And since I don't care much for the NBA, I guess I'm becoming a full on football guy.

I checked out pretty early. I suck. Literally the worst team in my lifetime though. I’m only 32. The worst team in double my lifetime?

I was a real box score reader this season.
