I live about 7 miles from the epicenter. It woke us up. Sounded and felt like a convoy of really big trucks rumbling by.
But yeah, 3.1 is not very strong - didn't even knock anything off a shelf.

I remember the NYC earthquake a few years back. It wasn't very much of anything but certainly noticeable. My house started shaking slightly and I just started What laughing. Pretty crazy if your not used to it though.
