I want to read it also. That game is as clear in my head as though it were played last night. Can't believe it's been 20 years. (I was actually at the game).

If UK fans weren't UK fans I'd feel bad that their 17 or 18pt comeback vs Duke in '98 has been completely forgotten.

I saw and remember that game. It was a great game due to the fact it put Duke into the final four, but as far as drama and entertainment goes, it takes a backseat to the 6 OT game (by a large margin)... Maybe I'm just partial?

Nah you're not partial. The 6 OT game was the greatest game in college basketball history.

The final four was on the line for that game, the 6ot game was basically meaningless. UConn lost and ended up going to the final 4 anyway.

As far as importance it's hard to compare a national championship game to a conference tourney or regular season game, but if you like college basketball for the excitement and drama of the game, that 6 OT game was the greatest college basketball game ever played. imo

But its hard to beat the drama of the ncaa tournament, especially with a final four berth on the line. These are do or die game 7 type of games, lose and your season is over, cant get more dramatic than that in sports.

True...but. We were involved in that 6 OT game, and we won it.

The fact that they titled it. The last great game makes me sick... Like we dint get enough duke obsession from espn on a daily basis

The only thing that was missing to put the 6OT game on the top of the list was a last second shot. Had someone hit a shot at the buzzer to end the game it would have leapfrogged any game in peoples eyes.​
