Did anyone watch the amazon prime documentary on last year's Michigan team? Quite the operation there in Ann Arbor.

I know the owners of the flag read this board. I recommend they contact someone about repatriation. It would be a good story.

Somehow I don't think it would end well. I think somebody gets arrested if you out them.

I think the statute of limitations on this one may have passed by a few years...

No one is getting arrested. It would make a great college game day story esp w the Tom Brady was qb that day angle as well.

I think it would be funny if they returned it under the proviso that it was somewhat of a curse since our program sputtered since we had it essentially.

That actually cheapens it. It’s worth more than money, especially since they want it back.

It would be so preposterous if the school sued a few idiots from Syracuse. The PR alone wouldn’t be worth it. These pranks happen yearly and are fun college pranks (minus the tree poisoning in Auburn I think)

They can simply mail it back if they want to limit liability. I think u could make it into a happy ending story though.

I am really surprised a few Michigan fans care so much about that banner. If there was a great mystique about it, if it was 100 years old, if it was attractive or well designed, maybe I could understand.

I am no lawyer but it looks to me as though the statue of limitations on civil lawsuits has long since expired and the UM people trying to get it back have no legal recourse to fall back on. Their only hope is to ask to have it returned.

I didn't take it and have no interest in telling the people that did what to do. That is their call.

Good story. How crazy that they ended up teaching at the same school!
