Uh oh...Brian's RT.wasnt lying
That’s because Brian runs that website.
I’m surprised Brian Kelly’s name hasn’t come up, he’s really not very well liked at LSU and if he doesn’t make the playoff I could see him trying to get out. He’s such a horrible fit at LSU.
I equate him to Marrone. The experts know who’s a real coach. He’s a hustler alright. We shall see. Wisconsin use to get a lot of guys from NJ as well. I could see him getting interest there after hiring / firing of the boring Fickell. The problem is Fran is facing a gauntlet the next 6 weeks not sure how high his stock will be if the wheels come off. Has to probably get at lest 5 wins coming in. 5-7 maybe I guess?
If Adidas is paying off the contract, it’s time for su to start shopping around
Look...I think we really shouldn’t poke holes in Fran’s flaws and be like hey there is no way they can be interested. They would be fortunate to have him. He would win a national championship there just like I hope he can here. We need to support our guy. The administration needs to make sure Fran has all the resources to compete at the highest levels. And Syracuse dominating the northeast should be a major factor of the downfall Nebraskaesque era they may finally be exiting and Penn State is about to enter.
Nothing alleged about it... Franklin was personally contacting r@pe victims of his football players at Vandy. It's wild how many forget that.On the heels of the Sandusky/Paterno abuse the school hired a head coach allegedly involved in a r@pe cover up at his previous school. They deserve all the bad thrown their way and then much more.

What's more wild is that after Sandusky did what he did, and Paterno with full knowledge and control covered it up, they STILL hired Franklin because Billy O didn't win enough while trying to run a cleanish program in the wake of Sandusky.
*rant warning
As to Penn State fans there are multiple camps none of which stopped following the program after Sandusky. The range of which are as follows:
-Embarrassed but still support
-Indifferent and still support
-"Joepa didn't know"
-"Joepa did what he was supposed to when he contacted campus police" which coined the term Paterno'ing IE the bare minimum. This group gets especially flustered when you ask why Sandusky was still allowed open access all over campus even after his firing.
-and the group that very much exists in large numbers that some here haven't had the pleasure of dealing with is "Sandusky didn't even do anything... there's no proof!!!" To any who haven't had the privilege of those please do visit blackshoesdiaries (Penn State forum) and indulge
I know people in all 5 groups, the latter 3 of which always got REALLY annoyed over the Franklin years every time I brought up his Vandy r@pe cover ups involvement.
All this hits very close to home for me as as a Cuse die hard and PA native. Until Sandusky I would half support Penn State because lot's of acquaintances did and Joepa seemed to "do it the right way".
More than that though many of us Cuse fans had to think long and hard about our fan hood during the Bernie Fine investigations which... unlike Penn State... we're ACTUAL investigations. IF Fine had been found any shred of guilty I would not be posting as a Syracuse fan today. I came to peace with losing the biggest part of my sporting fan hood if allegations were found true. As such I don't feel bad for hating on the PSU cult fan base any worse than I do for hating on other historically important teams that allowed murders or r@pist head coaches a free pass so long as their win column looked good.
*end rant
The damage done by pedophiles and sexual abusers and rapist far, far exceeds any other harm than shutting down complicit institutions. The cascading victims are generaltional and exponential. The abuse leads to substance abuse, psychological issues, social and relationship dysfunction, loss of productivity, and countless other conditions and sub-optimal life’s and outcomes. What ratio would you say tips the scales? 1000 OIGs vs 50 Sanduskys?
Agree 100% with that sentiment, but think you are completely misinterpreting the post you were responding to, however, and the asinine post he was responding to (with humor). The damage done by pedophiles and sexual abusers and rapist far, far exceeds any other harm than shutting down complicit institutions. If you don’t understand the effects, I think you should do some research.
Not a popular take here, obviously, but I don't either at all. I love Fran and am thrilled to have him as head coach. However, I don't think anyone really knows his true head coaching ability at this point. We all see positive signs and understand as a Cuse fan base he's our guy but from a program that competes for titles every year, I just don't see them taking this kind of unknown. It’s not that I don’t think Fran won’t take a bigger job, I just can’t see him being PSU’s top 5 but again I guess you just never know
Yes a couple of my lunatic friends in LouisianaIf it does come up, you'll probably have a good idea who floated it.
I don’t think Campbell can recruit the northeastI say the best name on that list is Clark Lea.
I don’t think two coaches could be any different than Doug Marrone and Fran BrownI equate him to Marrone. The experts know who’s a real coach.
Winning at Syracuse and getting recruits there he’s already shown . IMO this year wil show other programs that he’s keeping the ship together in a down year
Bill O’Brien makes an appearance! If he’s hired, are we still held to the Marrone rule to not touch their recruits or transfers (while they pilfer ours - hello Jason Cabinda)?
twiceIsn’t this the same AD who didn’t give Fran the Temple job? Not saying he’d even be a choice, but Fran seems like someone who would take that personally.
