That was always JB's decision when he'd pressed and managed to climb back that close. But he knew and trusted his D from that point on. Why Red trusted his is a mystery. Also could have went zone and made UNC make a shot

instead they blew by Carlos and had a literal wide open layup as Lampkin can’t block a shot. Shocking to only Red.

If you have momentum and are closing in on the lead, you have to stick with what you are doing until you are ahead, or until it stops working.
