The question right now

How much of our issues come from youth? How much of our issues come from lack of talent? How much of our issues come from coaching? That will determine how this season and Shafer's career here pan out.

I was really disappointed in the O & D gameplans given 2 weeks to prep. That and the lack of fire. I wasn't surprised at all by the loss. But I was surprised by the ass whooping. To give up that many yards and to hardly gain any yards was very disappointing.

We are young but you cannot blindly think that the youth will one day become good. They need to show glimpses. We have seen that on O with Dungey, Fredericks, Philips, Ishmael. We haven't seen that as much on D though, which worries me. The Secondary has shown nothing all year. Franklin and Hodge have seemed to regress. None of the DTs are standing out. Will these kids get better as time goes on? Yes, but will they get good enough to make the D whole? We need to at least see glimpses of hope. It is kind of ironic that Marrone's best recruits were D guys and Shafer has been the opposite.

The UVA game is a must win. It is a huge game for the program. If we win it can right the ship. If we lose it could be trouble. I think we are better than NC State & BC but if we are coming into those two on a 6 game losing streak, I doubt we win.

I'm honestly not overly worried about the offense, once we actually grow a set and open up the playbook from the start.

The defense is the massively concerning area. I think it's a combination of youth, talent, and coaching. Our defense is a trainwreck right now for a variety of reasons.

Do teams usually put in two full weeks of prep for their next opponent when they have a bye week, or did USF get the exact same 6 days of game prep that everyone else gets?
