The UConn Thread...

Doesn't matter. We hate them and will rank on them if they're 30-1 or 1-30.

If it bothers you so much, put the thread on ignore.
Them losing the first game of the day really allows most of us to settle in and enjoy the next 3 games rest of the evening.

Hurley’s defense is a lot different without the rim protector. Colorado’s big guy tooled them down the stretch. Makes a big difference when you don’t have someone to cover up for mistakes. They don’t have a Spencer type player either
Sanogo and Clingan were X factors the past two years. Gonna be tougher this year.

Fred Smith is from Memphis and is worth 5 billion dollars.

Born in Mississippi and went to college at Yale. He did spend his childhood in Memphis but never went to the University.

thats a shame3.gif

Sorry if this is mentioned but wanted to point out (hopefully not again) that Penny hired Mike Davis to his staff at Memphis.

If Red is going to make this work, I do think hiring an experienced former HC is a good idea. And no, Dan E doesn't fill that just yet.

Gotta try and pluck someone off a really good team this offseason. Getting tired of staying in house, these dudes can’t coach. Happy to see gerry starting off well at Siena but he wasn’t a very good recruiter at his time in cuse. A lot of it was red. Red has looked awful so far this season, what does Adrian griffin do? Straughn is a good recruiter so we should keep him. The rest I don’t care about

Our last two hires were not in house.

I only meant Red should hire an assistant who has at least a dozen years of HC experience (if possible)

Dan E and Straughn are outside the Cuse bubble hires no issues there for me.

No reason to keep any of them.

Probably need to include Melo on the search committee and hire to not load the incoming class but poor coaching is why we almost dropped the first 3 cupcakes. The freshmen are good our bigs the best we've had in forever and JJ isn't far off ACC POY level and we're still awful.

How about JB? Just joking

Has Chaminade been dumped from Maui Invitational don't see them anywhere?
They aren't tournament regular since like ten years ago. But they will return in 2025. I think they only participate when they have a good team.

For the millennials and early Gen Z generation. UConn is a more notorious rival than Georgetown.
That is too bad. Living through both it is not even close. And I live in CT so I had to listen to obnoxious hick after louder obnoxious hick for years. Still not even close.

The ultimate front running coach. Everything is great when he’s blowing teams out, but he’s going to lose it this year with the team coming back to earth a bit.
To that I say too bad for him and the UConn fans. After winning back to back titles, no one cares about their complaints or hardships. If we won back to back titles, I’d be complaint free for at least five years.
