The UConn Thread...

It’s about what you’d expect outta Hurley lol
I mean this is not how adults behave. He’s an absolute embarrassment to his team, school, family . If my dad was pulling crap like that I’d stay from school no matter how often he won.

Love how people say every team has an NIL vault but us. Memphis isn’t in the big10 or sec. Where do they get the $$ from? Why can’t SU get $$. Cuse is a rich kid school. wheres the money?

Yeah, they believe everyone has "oil" money, or "country music money" in this case I guess, or whatever flo
flavor of money, and everyone is rich except us. I'm really tired of it as an excuse. Maybe we need to get better at navigating the waters and using the money we do have but I refuse to believe we are some poverty case compared to all these "rich" schools. Judging by the number of new Land Rovers and BMWs on campus when I was a student, we aren't exactly a destitute institution.

Why are people fighting the accuracy of this? Just Google it. FedEx is the big corporate in Memphis and supports the school. They have for a while and have significantly stepped up their NIL efforts.

I didn't want to jinx it, but UConn is down 18 with 36 seconds remaining. Nice game Dayton.
Yukon just had the absolute worst week possible. Imagine any Yukon fan who saved up to enjoy their Hawaii vacation. They will be scarred for life. I might have to check out the Boneyard for some light reading.

Did a quick fly by of the Boneyard and these are the best quotes to paraphrase:

1) People were lazer focused on a three-peat. We just had a three-peat in Hawaii.

2) Uconn still has a three games stretch in early December against Baylor, Texas and Gonzaga. "This season could be off the rails before the Big East season even begins".

Audis seem to be very popular as well.

How about Melo I'm not:)
I don't know how he helps. He hasn't coached and he hasn't coached in close games. We all know that often times, in every sport, a lightly used player is often a better coach than the star. Plus, he may not be able to help us with NIL if he is actually a coach.

Im just messing around on a long flight

Syracuse 4-2
Two time defending champs 4-3

We are so winning it all this year

But seriously, I hope they don’t even qualify for the NIT. Hurley might stroke out by January

Big baby Hurley after getting destroyed and going 0-3 in their recent 8 team tournament.

"TWO DAYS AFTER UConn returned home from a disastrous 0-3 trip to the Maui Invitational, Dan Hurley took to the podium following the Huskies' 99-45 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore -- and dealt a blow to the multiteam event (MTE) format that has been a mainstay of the college basketball calendar.

"I'm not doing another three-game MTE again," Hurley said. "Moving forward, we will only play home-and-homes and single-game events in big-time arenas. I don't think I'll ever do a three-game MTE again."

Perhaps the article has some good content after that, not sure, but couldn't get by the Baby Hurley's comments to start.

Hopefully he doesn't have that much control over the AD already and that is not his decision to make.

These events bring a lot of Top 25 match ups early in the season when people may have a good amount of time off around the Holidays and it seems they have scheduled it so it doesn't interfere too much with any key college or professional football games.

We hear all the time "no one cares about college basketball until March"
Maybe these events help change that.

Maybe another week to target for these events are the one we are currently in, after CFB conference championships are over, and waiting on bowl season to start.

Especially seeing as how everyone, myself included, are shocked we are on ESPN2 tonight, after the start to the season we've had..

No chance he turned down Maui if he's still at UConn when they rotate back into it for the NBE.
