- You can’t say JB didn’t use his roster in this game. 9 different guys played, all of them at least 9 minutes. He was forced into it by Marek’s foul trouble and the fact that nothing was working but hopefully it opened his eyes to what some of the other guys can do. There’s no reason for him to put up with an inadequate performance when he’s got guys around him on the ‘bench’ just itching to show they can do better.

- Jesse Edwards played 23 minutes and did some good things, putting up good numbers with 7 rebounds, 8 points and a block. He’s got to get stronger, especially in his hands which didn’t seme to be of much use to him at times. But he was energetic. He blocked the way to the basket, used his height to intimidate some shots and got out to set some actual picks and screens for the shooters. I think maybe we’ve missed that aspect of having a true center out there as much as the rebounds and blocks he might be able to get on the other end. It’s amazing how active players become when they realize they will be in the game for an extended run and don’t have to be afraid of getting jerked out of it.

- Kadary Edwards couldn’t get the ball to go into the basket but he demonstrated to his teammates that when the defense comes to you, they are likely leaving somebody open and if you can get the ball to that guy, your team will score anyway. He had half of our 12 assists in 26 minutes of play. Jacking up threes or muscling your way to the basket isn’t much of an offense, particularly if they aren’t calling anything.

- Robert Braswell finally found the range from three after tossing bricks most of the year. His shots haven’t even been close, usually caroming off the right side of the back rim. If you are going to hit the glass anyway, you might as well use it for a bank shot.

- In the first half Alan Griffin showed all the talents we were hoping he had, hitting long threes, cutting through the defense to score or sinking free throws. He also had 4 rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. It was AG vs. GT and AG won – in the first half.

- Joe Girard led the charge at the end of the half and had 8 points, 3 assists and 2 steals at the half. JB said he was aggressive and got by people. In the second half he wasn’t and they came to him. He got 2p 0a and 0s.

- These guys have a chance to be on a real good team someday. I hope it’s here.

13-8 (7-7) with ? to go

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

i mentioned in another post that both GT and SU placed 5 players in the top 35 MPG ACC. it's just that late february seemed like an odd time to start "tinkering" with your roster. if nothing else we're bested rested for monday night.
