- In a high-scoring game, everybody “gets well’ statistically, largely because the box score is more about offense than defense. Benny Williams sure got well, responding to the return of his starting position to show the talent what we’d heard about but rarely seen. He hit 8 of 15 shots, including 5 of 6 three pointers, (breaking an 0 for 12 slump) to score a career high 24 points. He also pulled down 9 rebounds. But Jim warned in the presser that “they’ll be guarding him next time”.

- Joe Girard helped keep us in it in the first half, (again) and wound up with 19 points and 3 assists.

- Judah Minsk (again), was not much of a factor in the first half but came on in the second to score 17 points and pass for 6 assists.

- Jesse Edwards was often out-numbered but fought through it to get his best numbers since the NC State game. With 17 points, 7 rebs, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a steal.

- Quadir Copeland got to play 23 minutes and took advantage with 6 points, 3 rebounds and an assist. He had some dramatic moves to the basket and converted on one that gave us our last lead at 30-28.

- We close with 2 home games. Let’s clinch a winning season vs. Tech and then have a good time honoring the 2003 team and beating Wake. Then maybe we can win a game or two in Greensboro and end the season with some positive feelings.

16-13 (9-9 in conference) with 2+ to go

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Jesse's numbers are always good but don't seem to make an impact.

The biggest upside that I see is that there are only two more games left in yet another catastrophic season.

FIFY

Louisville had a catastrophic season, which might be coming for us next year if there's a mass exodus.
