Do not want to see Smith and PTG be the only true running backs (I'm not counting Broyld as a true running back) record carries.

Do want to see AAM and Morris lug it a few times each,

Do not want to see a short receiver rotation.

Do want to see Hale catch his first pass.

Do not want to see fullbacks.

Do want to see Broyld on the field a lot, assuming he is everything people say he is.

Do want to see variety in the tempo of the offense, with some preference towards playing at a quicker pace than we're used to.

Do not want to see the offense slow itself to let the clock run down.

Do want to see us start the game with intentions to score.

Do not want to see us play like we're just hoping to have a chance to win it in the 4th.

Do not want to see overtime.

Do want to see us return a punt for more than 5 yards.

Do not want to see NW start a possession passed the 40.

Do want to three receiver sets.

Do not want to see much bunch formation.

There will be more, but those are my immediate thoughts. I'm not worried at all about the defense.

I do not want to see a personal foul called on our defense when it is 3rd and long.

Just win!

But want to see: variety on offense led by Gulley and Broyld; an interception (by us), a fumble recovery (by us), a pass rush from the front 4, stout defense on 3rd and short, the occasional blitz, containment on the NW QB, stops on 3rd and long, vastly improved punt coverage.

A scoreboard that has a higher score for Syracuse at the end of the game.

I want to see us with more point than them by the time the clock registers 00:00. But to be specific, I would love to see a few 40+ yard pass attempts down the field. Concerning the defense, I do not want to see the linebackers over pursuing, allowing the NW qb an open field to operate.

things i don't want to see any day

dumb posts implying that doing anything besides passing the first drive of the game means that they don't intend to score

Let's make a list of all the people saying all they care about is a win, so that if we're discussing a 4-8 season 4 months from now they aren't allowed to say, "well sure we lost 8 games, but we *looked* so much better than in 2012!"

;)

What I want to see:

1. Breasts pressed up against my bedroom window when I open the curtains
2. SU win

That's all I ask.

On a more serious note, the only thing I would like to see is an uptempo offense. I don't care what plays are called, or who is on the field, I just want to see it happen more rapidly than the death march we've seen the past 3 seasons.

To drive Northwestern before us, and hear the lamentations of their cheerleaders.

Don't want to see the bootleg short pass to the TE... unless it works.

Don't want to see any angled kickoffs... unless it works.

Don't want to try blocking any punts inside the 20... unless it works.

You get the idea.

3rd down defense making stops frequently

At least 3 SU offensive plays of 20+ yards

Wait, are we 14 posts in without anyone saying a nice push by the offensive line? I'd like to see that. Also a little quicker tempo would be great as well as well as a more concerted effort to attack down the field a bit more (not just 40-yard passses, but those intermediate throws in the 13-20 yard range).

i think the injury article today explains a lot about the tempo last year. they tried to shorten everything for key guys, practices, games

i'm fine with a faster tempo if our offense is better and the defense is healthy and deep

I guess we'll find out. We've played at a snail's pace for 3 years, so maybe we'll finally see if that is the plan, or just a design of necessity.

I don't think we'll see it this year because we're still in necessity mode and I still don't think the math works out because i still think we stink

2013 2013 2013

I do NOT want to see a timeout called on the second offensive play of the game.

Open up the offense, the NW QB running terrified from our DE's and a NW assistant fighting Tomcat live on ESPN outside the coaching booth for banging on the Dome air vents.

I DO want a first down on every series.

I DO NOT want to give up any 3rd & 10+ first downs.

I do not want to see Marrone defer posession to the second half just so they can drive to the student section to close the game.

I do want them to take the first drive of the game to the house.

i will also add i do NOT want to see the ball snapped over the qb's head ON THE FIRST FREAKING PLAY OF THE GAME ONLY TO BE RECOVERED BY THE OPPOSING TEAM!!
