We ripped on BC's class last year for having a lot of players that weren't highly rated, but I think this class is shaping up in a similar way. We're getting guys to commit early that appear to fit what we want at big positions of need, that maybe don't have so many offers yet but know enough to think highly of Syracuse. I don't know if this will be a typical class, but for what we need right now I think it works.

Also... it's crazy to me that so many of the recruits Tweet about Dino. I just think that's cool. It seems to be a real differentiator for us, which is insane.

It's exactly like BC's class... if BC recruited men who were good at football.

The reason I bagged on BC's class last year is because it was full of guys we weren't even interested in. I have enough faith in our coaching staff that if there were good players in NE, we would've been involved at some level. All of our NE commits this season had interest from BC to some degree.

Bam I'm not sure how much spice you prefer, but if you like to live dangerously you MUST get Devil's Duel. I put it on basically everything soooooo good. Perfect blend of spice and taste.

Oh and the spicy bbq sauce they have...maybe the best bbq sauce I've ever had. Its called Wango Tango and I just checked you can get it on Amazon.

Yes that is good stuff... I liked their sauce. I have a smoker at home and make bbq all the time. I liked their biscuit but like my ribs better. the pulled pork was very good. i will have to pick up some of that wango tango soon.

In fairness BC didn't even offer any of our NE guys. Almost all of our commits have been layups other then Strickland, and only he was pursued by Rutgers. Not saying this is a bad thing, but it's true.

I'd like to see Dinosaur BBQ get on the same level as the place Arkansas always takes their recruits. I can picture Shafer standing on the table and calling the hog, or in our case doing a war cry in honor of the Saltine Warriors.

I still think the guys we have on board are going to rack up more offers as the season wears on ... some of the big boy programs reserve judgement on guys they haven't seen face to face until they get to senior year film which is why some of those offers come so late.

Ginnetti had a BC offer, they were waiting on Cullen's grades, and Adams had Maryland and some other local lower D1 offers. Not sure on their interest level in Giudice but suffice to say they were at least interest in these guys to some degree.

Agreed and if you look at the post I made in the other thread about getting athletes that can run, that alludes to the fact that our peers have recruits with similar profiles at the same point in the game I feel good about where we are ...

Shy and I will be at bc this Wednesday night I will see what they have to say then

Get the Cajun foreplay spice rub as well. Goes well on anything, I use it on burgers all the time and also have used it when smoking brisket (though I prefer my homemade rub for that). I also use it on bacon bombs.

The Dino thing is becoming a fun little recruiting tradition. I think it’s cool.

I know someone who works there and I usually get a heads-up when a big reservation comes in from "Syracuse Football". It is one of the best BBQ joints in the country, so it should be leaned on heavily when recruiting very hungry 16-18 year olds.

Try the Wegman's in Northboro for dino sauce. A lot of Shaws carry it as well. I am an CNY native now in RI and have no problems finding the stuff.

I don't know what a bacon bomb is but I must have one.
