Actually it would be nice for Fred Smith to pay the buyout for the conference USA teams $40 million would be chump change for the head of FED EX and then everyone could leave.

its pretty simple...syracuse is just about the only relevant BE team this year. marninatto cannot afford to lose the basketball side.

Here is an abbreviated list of schools that would have been better gets on this bargain-hunting spree: Air Force, Akron, Arkansas State, Army, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, BYU, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, East Carolina, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Hawaii, Kent State, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Miami Ohio, Middle Tennessee State, Nevada, North Texas, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame football, Rice, San Jose State, Southern Miss, Temple, Toledo, Troy, Tulane, Tulsa, Utah State, UTEP, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan and Wyoming. (That is an alphabetical list of every other school unaffiliated with an AQ league we could name off the top of our heads on the first try.

Don't worry those Programs are all on the Big East "waiting list" as fill ins when the Merry-Go-Round turns again.

So the ACC becomes the BE, and the BE becomes Conf USA.

It's more like the ACC added "The Best of the Big East" or "The Big East's Greatest Hits".

Consider WVU as being recorded on another label or having been penned by another songwriter and was therefor excluded from the collection. Rutgers was simply a dud.

The NBE is like a collection of songs from a band consisting mainly of replacement musicians after the stars have moved on... an aficionado doesn't count these as true BE songs.
