What does this last sentence mean? Are you talking about the upcoming seat upgrades?
Yes. Just passing on what the guy told us.

Interesting, I didn’t think stadium seating would need seat backs. Hopefully us upper deck folks can buy something similar on the secondary market and bring it to games.Yes. Just passing on what the guy told us.

I appreciate the info. I would imagine it’s just being put in by phases. NYS tax payers didn’t fork over $20 million for partial upgrades. But who knows.I’m not being clear, I’m saying he told us when they renovate, that the new individual seats are only going in the lower bowl and the middle and upper decks will still be bleachers.
Maybe that was already known, or maybe he’s wrong. Or maybe it’s a phased approach. Like I said, just passing it along.
100% i had frat brothers who went to the dome 2x (and were big fans of the teams): First week frosh year and then grduation. Some people sleep in, work, party excessively, work late at the bars. It’s not embarrassing. It’s a noon game. Students all over the country don’t show for noon games. It’s not a huge deal.
Ugh that must be so frustrating, I’m so sorry. That would drive me crazy. The seats we had for nearly a decade that we were kicked out of are on the edge of this section. There were many longtime STH’s around us. I’ve seen our seats occupied once this season. And not because it was full, but because a couple random students migrated to them.
I heard the seatbacks will have massage vibration options for upper and lower back.I appreciate the info. I would imagine it’s just being put in by phases. NYS tax payers didn’t fork over $20 million for partial upgrades. But who knows.
It’s all good, we actually bought more seats in another section, so we’re up to 8. Loved it up there, but now I’ve got the itch to move around. I think we’re going to try another section again next year.Ugh that must be so frustrating, I’m so sorry. That would drive me crazy.

And some of this is simply learning new student attendance patterns. They don’t need as many seats for them for noon games. Like you said, typically they don’t need as many seats for *everyone* for noon games. ND was a huuuuge aberration.Come on guys, Otto’s Army has been amazing this year. That upper section is only an issue when we’re near full capacity, otherwise we don’t even really notice it.
I work at a college and many students don’t even wake up on Saturday til around noon. Once the seating upgrades are in place, I don’t think this will even be an issue anymore.
Agree with the tarp. Roll it up as students arriveShould put a tarp with an S or CUSE on it to cover section. 44K is the correct number for the Dome and eliminate some student sections.
Haha. Then people here will complain that a half-rolled tarp looks amateurish.Agree with the tarp. Roll it up as students arrive
I want some vibration from underneath the seat. How much for that optionI heard the seatbacks will have massage vibration options for upper and lower back.
Nobody pays attention to anything. We all thought it was the end of the world when we sucked for four years but none of us notice when other name teams suckAnd some of this is simply learning new student attendance patterns. People are weird about attendance perception. No one is really paying all that much attention. Half the P5 games this past weekend had loads of empty seats.
I want some vibration from underneath the seat. How much for that option
I was at a noon game this weekend -- not SU -- with 20K empty seats and a student section that was at best half-full. The school I was at is regularly cited by posters here as having the most potential to be a power in the ACC. It proves your point, no one notices much of anything.Nobody pays attention to anything. Georgia tech comes to mind. They suck and no one really notices
The meatheads here loved Stanford for a while and now they suck and no one thinks about them ever
that’s one way to keep people from standingI want some vibration from underneath the seat. How much for that option
What is fair pricing? This whole thread is silly. Kids are free to use or not use the seating made available. School is free to allocate as many seats as they want to the actual students at the schoolthe student support has been back and forth this year. Just put that section up for grabs to the public. CLEARLY we could fill it if prices are remotely fair.
what new patterns? They’ll show up en masse for the first home game. Otherwise they’ll fill anywhere from 50-75% allotment. Less for nooners. It has been this way forever. And some of this is simply learning new student attendance patterns.
I mean there's a reason why the upper deck section exists, right? Because they've been filling areas beyond the first level for 2 seasons running. That spillover student section didn't exist years ago.what new patterns? They’ll show up en masse for the first home game. Otherwise they’ll fill anywhere from 50-75% allotment. Less for nooners. To put it simply, if those tickets were for public purchase that section would have been at least 80% filled and we’d have a near actual full capacity dome. The student alottment is proving a bit over generous regardless of whether or not it “sold out”. If the students arent consistently showing.. reallocate a few hundred back to the public. What is fair pricing? This whole thread is silly. Kids are free to use or not use the seating made available. Im not sure how having one empty upper corner effects anyones enjoyment of the game.
