I agree it went off Buddy but the bigger issue is why and how he got the ball. Joe should never have passed it there. Buddy was doubled. Why do we have Symir on the floor if he is not going to handle the ball??

Joe dribbled in to a double team and then picked up his dribble. Then he passed Buddy in to a double team. It was the dumbest basketball I have seen in forever. Not really, because this group does it all the time.

But yeah we should be chasing down crummy Wake/Miami/ND for their at large. If it even exists the ACC might get 2-3 bids this year its so bad.

Because GT probably was planning to foul at that point in the game and Symir can’t shoot foul shots - I was surprised that Symir was in there because of that. Tough to have a good ball handler you would like handling the ball in pressure situations who can’t be depended on to make their free throws at game end. Sadly, he’s only making 38.5% of his foul shots this year.

Joe has to know better than to dribble in to that spot. Our guys have to understand that the ball has to go to one of three players (Joe, Buddy or Coke). The other two have to get down the court and spread out so that one guy can’t cover them both. Then Joe, Buddy and Coke need to also spread out because GT is going to double team, so the ball handler just has to hit the open man. We are in control in that situation if we play smart. Spacing and vision are crucial.

Actually wasn’t too mad that Jimmy got the ball at end of regulation and shot pretty much as time expired. Was worried about an iso buddy backdown in the key, resulting in a strip and run out to lose
