or to even think about comparing him but Waiters on defense at the top of the key feels very Jordan-like. Not just at his ability to get big steals but the way he collapses down and attacks the shooter from behind.
I gotta be honest, the Jordan image has popped in my head too. Not necessarily as a direct comparison in regards to any one skill, just that he has an impressive NBA body, explosiveness, and if he were to come back and shoot 300 jumpers a day in the off-season, this guy would dominate like a Jordan.
Haha. Over-exaggeration aside, what college guard(s) would you put ahead of Dion? Now we might be getting a little carried away. lol

Haha, no I agree...I thought to myself, like you wow uhhh Jordan huh lol. But then I stepped back and thought is Dion the most talented guard in the country? I think he might be...Not sure, but comparing him to Jordan...come on! Saying he will "dominate like Jordan"...little much. Little much!

I actually thought about the DWade ~ DWaiters comparison last night during the game. He's a lot like Dwayne Wade in college. Dion actually shoots it better than Wade shot it in college. Same kind of athleticism.
All I know is he has been the best player on the floor in 90% of the games so far. He keeps that up, I'm happy. And we have played some good guards. Anybody catch the Florida game yesterday. That is a top 5 team come April. Beals is starting to be the #1 draft choice he is and Boynton and Walker are lights out. NC St will win 20-22 games and be the #3 team in the ACC. And Dion is better than anybody they have, though Williams looked damned good for 35 minutes.Haha. Over-exaggeration aside, what college guard(s) would you put ahead of Dion?
If Dion plays like this (or better like he will), he is not going to be here next year.Waiters is as good as we've had at the top of the zone in a long time. We used to say how good AR was there, but Waiters makes AR look like Mookie up there.
Man him and MCW are gonna be insane together at the top of that thing next year.
Sometime people let the box score tell them who is the great player. I did that myself, could never figure out the fuss over Michael Jordan in College, I mean he was good... I did not see him, so I judged him by the stats.I still at people (UConn fans) who say we don't have a "go-to-guy". Anyone who's wathced Syracuse this year can tell you that Waiters is more than capable of filling that role (hell, so is KJo and Scoop). He's only getting better.
You know, perhaps noone. Eddie Moss was good but not that way. Andy Rautins was good but still not in Dion's league. And Dion's defense on the ball, forces the ball handler into situations that lets KJ or Scoop pick it off. Edelin could have been that good in man-to-man. But you are right, he is doing things we have not seen before.I don't know that we have ever had anyone play defense like he has so far this season.
Dion's game is improving, but I have yet to see him go airborne, hang around for several seconds while switching the ball from hand to hand, wait for the defenders to descend back to the floor, and then flip the ball in the hoop before deciding to come back down (a la AIR Jordan).Guiness said Jordan-like not Jordan stats. couchburn
So Im not alone. The only Jordan move he hasn't done much of is dribble circles around people. If he ever learns that God help the world because Dion is coming.
i think he's referring to hamilton jordan. Now we might be getting a little carried away. lol
