Thought experiment - what to do if we did have a $1M NIL guarantor

The context here is someone receiving one million in NIL. I don’t think they would leave.
Could also get injured, arrested etc.
Other schools have sugar daddies that can also utilize NIL.

You are telling me we can't come up with a collective of fine restaurants in CNY to put up a million to sign a whole offensive line? Let the beefy boys eat beef and whatnot. Some of these kids might sign on with a lifetime supply of Dinosaur BBQ and no mention of money. We should be trying everything at this point. Foot massage and Spas for kickers, etc.

I agree when people say the Lines win games but if you are comparing just an individual player, one 5 star OL or one 5 star QB i'd take the QB. I think they are the biggest solo position differentiator. Plus I think you are more likely going to be able to recruit other good players along with them as they will want to play with him. On defense a truly dominant DL can have a major effect and i'd go with that.

Who is we? You know we have two, that we know of, plus Adam, that are very well funded and doing work. Tell me how many high end athletes have we lost to NIL?

We all know you are rich rrlbees. Stop with the malarky. Im not saying we have lost any athletes at all to NIL, im merely saying we could be creative with different places is all.

I'd rather get five 4-star kids at $200k each, than one 5-star millionaire.

This might be the only situation where I'm the socialist, but I'd probably drop it down a bit more and spread it further.

We don't need to beat Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State on NIL. We need to beat Pitt, BC, Rutgers, Maryland.

Do we? I recall reading about Weitsman (sp?) but I also thought I read that it was only an idea, and the university needed to check some things before he could do it.

Who are the others? And what $ ballpark are we talking about?

Adam has run everything through compliance over and over. Like he had said before if an athlete even walks into his restaurant he calls compliance. Adams not going to our Su at risk. The two collective s we know about are the 315Foundation and Athletes that care which is backed by trustees and former athletes. They took care of about a dozen athletes this year, which is probably we we didn’t lose a Tucker or Jones. Their plan is to work with 40-50 next year and ultimately 100 athletes on campus.

I wish. And facts aren’t malarkey. If you’re so concerned, reach out to the 315Foundation or Athletes that Care.

I would start by giving half to a 40-something-year-old alum from Fairfield County, CT.

After that, whatever.
And then what would said 40 something year old CT alum do with half?

One chick at one time?

The fact that we have a bunch of guys that will play on Sundays and none left should tell the story itself.

Yeah, especially when stories broke about some of the them leaving for other schools and then suddenly they didn’t they stayed here

People just need to follow the clues but a lot decide not to

Here's a Thought Experiment I've Run Many Times

Put the guy who gets the tee after kickoff on schollie.

Solve attendance woes by making the guy a birthday-suited woman who runs out (maybe dances out) and retrieves the tee. Kids would be honor-bound to close their eyes.

I know. Tone deaf. Sexist. The works.
Alright then...the guy can be naked too, they just alternate.
In between kickoffs they park they're keisters in separate medical tents.

Would really spike binocular sales.
