So all of you complaining about how we have no money can do something about it. :D

But seriously, there are matching programs in play here, so every little bit helps. You can choose where you want your donation to go - a particular school, the general scholarship fund, or individual sports.

Here's your chance to help support the school and/or programs we love.

Link takes you to my letter from Haynie and Blair asking us to donate to men's basketball today to help welcome Gerry. It is very creative using Gerry numbers. Worth a read, and worth a noice that our Chancellor-elect is pushing for donations for men's basketball,

Yeah, I donated $20 as suggested by the letter to honor the 20 years since Gerry graduated. If they could collect 20 from all the excited fans, it could be significant funds.

Nearly $25,000 raised for GMAC’s coaching fund. This appears to be ground level supporters. It’s gained more than $6000 in thirty minutes. People need to understand this isn’t used for NIL but it does support what Gerry feels is needed within the program. It’s also tax deductible where donations to NIL are not. If you donate to the university to help offset their revenue share, that is also tax deductible. Good job Orange fans! Keep it going…GO ORANGE!

No donation is too small. Do whatever you can to help the program. I dropped $500. Don’t tell my wife🤫

I have the feeling a lot of people think they're donating to the roster salary. Which is what they should be donating to.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a place to do that. Football has an NIL donation collective. Donating to the CUSE campaign goes to offsetting the revenue share.

The letter even suggested donating $3 to honor Gerry’s number.

I just got this letter in my email. Nice read.

Dear Friends:
When I first came to Syracuse as an 18-year-old kid from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I had no idea what this place would mean to me. I just knew I wanted to compete, I wanted to win and I wanted to make people proud. Our University gave me everything. A championship. A degree. A career. A family. And when my playing days were over, it gave me the opportunity to help develop the next generation of Orange student-athletes grow into young men I’m genuinely proud of.
I spent the last two years at Siena University and I’m grateful for every minute of my time there. But know this: I have always been Orange.
And now I’m back. And I am ready to work.
Here’s what I need you to know: this program has everything it takes to compete at the highest level. The talent. The history. The fan base. The Dome. But competing at the top takes resources and urgency. The transfer portal opens in two weeks. Recruiting never stops. The work to build a roster that can win championships begins today.
That’s why I’m asking you, personally, to make a gift to Syracuse Men’s Basketball on Giving Day today, Tuesday, March 24.
I know what it means when this community shows up. I felt it as a player every time we ran out of that tunnel. I felt it on the road when I’d hear “Let’s Go Orange” in an opposing arena. I need recruits and their families to feel it too. I need them to see and experience how this fan base is unlike anything else in college basketball.
Whether you give $3 for the number I wore, $44 for the number so many greats wore, $2,003 for the year we won the national championship, or whatever you can—it matters. Every single gift is a statement that Orange Nation is behind this program.
I didn’t come back to be comfortable. I came back to win. Help me do that.
Make your Giving Day gift today at givingday.syr.edu/givetombb.
I’ll see you in the Dome.

Oh Yeah Entrance GIF

I am still in shock that Gerry got the job, today is the first tangible evidence of why that may end up being a great decision.
I never thought of it that way. I won’t lie I probably wouldn’t have gave if it was BH or JS. I didn’t really think of that until you posted it.
