Obviously #4 makes zero sense. 2006 vs. 2009. And GMac's shot against UConn wasn't a "buzzer beater." There were 6-7 seconds left on the clock. Marcus Williams went the entire length of the floor the other way and missed a foul line jumper which sent the game to OT.

An assist for a random basket is a top 5 play. This list stinks.
The look on Bobby Knights face when it happened puts it there.

But really, how about Jimmy Lee hitting that 20 footer against UNC in the 1975 Regional Semi Final with seconds left?

The Georgetown game in 2006 was the buzzer beater, IIRC.
And it might have only forced OT.

That GMac to Devo fast break layup to take the lead was with 10 seconds left. Georgetown came down for one final possession, and we tied them up on a jump ball which won the game.

If I'm doing this list, I'm bumping Sherm's pass to number 4, and putting Gillon's shot against Duke at number 5, narrowly, over Conrad McRae's shot to beat Villanova, GMac's shot to beat Gtown in their building, CJ's dunk over Porter, and Ennis to beat Pitt.

Would that Devo's shot counted, because thus endeth the discussion.

Although I might try and put a missed Rony Seikaly reverse dunk where he ended up in the basket support with the entire bench covering their faces with towels on the list for comic relief.

I started really watching Flynn’s frosh season, so my list would be:

Warrick teabag

Warrick block

(I still watched that tourney obviously)

Flynn vs rosario

Ennis buzzer beater

The entire run vs Virginia in the elite eight. Shoeless Lydon three, goggles Malachi.

Too bad you didn't start watching after that tourney. You missed Warrick's helicopter dunk against Notre Dame.

It wasn’t one play, but Melo’s performance at Michigan State set the stage for a run at the national championship. I think after that game, people realized SU was pretty good.
