I mean, based on all those "such and such player got DQed" threads over the past three years, I'd think a solid plurality of the posters/medical geniuses on here would side with Franklin on this one.

Assuming there is fire here, they can't dodge it. The prior case rested on morals clauses etc., but if I recall, the stature and independence of the team physician is spelled out explicitly in the NCAA by-laws.
