Ellis has to be among the worse. Repeated himself constantly. When he saw something, would make a comment like he was teaching how to do it and then used the action a confirmation. I am convinced that it is the other way around. Seeing an act made him realize what happened.

Also the discussion about how intense JB has become "because he sees the end is near..." Said he was pushing so hard because this is the "most talented team" he can expect to have from now until he retires. Apparently they don't research the recruiting for the next couple of years, or think anybody can improve. All three freshmen have nothing but brighter, better years to come.

After getting all wrapped up in the painful demolition over the last 20+ minutes I kind of forgot the comment "most talented team" till he retires. Makes you wonder if these commentators do any background work pre-game and if they do where do they get their material. Of course it was not too many years ago I would have to listen to these games on the radio since the TV coverage was limited to a lot less number of games nightly. Now days there are several options to see games on TV live but the number of games broadcast results in lesser and lesser quality of announcers. Better to see the game, just turn down the volume.

As probably the sentiment of many here, Bilas by far is my fav. However, that being said, I almost had to change from ESPN last night to the local Raycom affiliate here in Charlotte (Brando & company) after listening to Bilas go on and on and on about how this isn't the same Duke team as a few weeks ago. I could almost hear him saying to himself in my head, no way Syracuse beats Duke at Cameron now.

"They have to get to the logo area" (just inside the foul line on UL's court, for those that didn't see the game) had to have been mentioned at least 10 times.

Made a lot of references about how SU should have been going into Coleman. Didn't understand why SU didn't. Perhaps the players know better?

He also closed out the telecast with something like, "Syracuse couldn't handle Louisville's press" or to that effect. Huh? I didn't really see that as a contributing factor to the loss. Again, announcers just randomly throwing clichés around when they have nothing else to say...

"get the ball to the ACC logo"

Good announcers: Sean McDonough, Jay Bilas, Dan Shulman, Bill Raftery, Brent Musberger, Dan Bonner, Doris Burke, Bill Walton, Mike Tirico, any other Newhouse PBP Benetti, Schoff, Pasch, O'Brien.
Are okay: Bob Wischusen, when doing non-Duke games Dick Vitale, Dan Dakich
Bad announcers: everyone else

I want to agree with you but I can't completely.

Worse commentary ever!
