UM vs OSU

For personal reasons, most SU fans dislike both of these teams, myself included.

Great game today though. Could be a 1 seed play-in game.

Michigan has a ridiculous class coming next year, too.

OSU is terrible. Dont care what their record is. They can be gotten so easily

Also, side note, not playing Seth Towns? If I was a grad transfer or big time transfer and cuse is after me, JB does alot of things that make me shake my head but he plays those grad transfers and transfers alot and they get plenty of opportunity

I just tuned into this, with 6 minutes left.
Both teams are playing like their lives depended on it.
Our ‘strongest guy’ would be just a reguiar schmo on either of these teams.
They‘re physical.
Juwan Howard and Chris Holtmann are the coaches, and we are worried that we can’t find anyone who is better than JB is RIGHT NOW?
Neither of these teams has elite talent. But there’re good/solid/strong/competent/energized all around. That’s coaching.

Watching these two teams makes it obvious why having a post presence is still so important.
I have been saying that for 5+ years.
In college hoops you need to be able to score easy baskets because the defense will always shut you down for a stretch in big games.

This Michigan team is incredible.

I'm not knocking these teams coaching, obvious they are well coached. but the talent out there look pretty elite to me.

Both teams are very good. The first thing I notice is the bodies. They all have huge bodies. Every player is physically superior to anyone on SU. Both teams can shoot, drive and dish. Both have young coaches and both teams play very hard.

Feels like Eli Brooks was on Michigan when Obama was still in office.

It's even more than that. Just having the threat to being able to throw it down deep on the box, puts pressure on everyone else on the defense. having said that, neither 5 in this game could cover the corner. So there is that.

It helps to stay in games and have few long droughts when you can get the ball inside. What a difference it made yesterday when Marek starting scoring and getting fouled.

Good thread for me to flashback to my brilliant analysis on the Juwan Howard hire. Doh!

Hiring Phil Martelli was a brilliant move from an X and O’s standpoint.

Terrible?
Yep. They are wayyyy over-performing this year. They were picked 7th in their conference. I unfortunately have watched almost every single game of theirs this year (OSU grad in the house. Puke). They played no one in their OCC which is why they went undefeated and got a couple calls/bounces their way against Illnois and Iowa for Ws. They should have 8 L’s this year so far. Lindell is good. The rest of the team is blah
