Love the potential, and there are a bunch of other freshmen that will be competing for spots next year on the two deep.

Well now, I didn't really think we would be starting a walk-on, over Carney who the team invested time in (and has to know the play book better I would think). I'm sure Carney is not happy with this situation.

Yes, though if Joe does well tonight, a redshirt has been preserved no matter what happens the rest of the season. He can really be a Syracuse Athletics program guy between football and lacrosse.
