Mike Waters' Mailbox last week:Is there any chance of that happening? I wouldn't think so, but I guess I don't really know.
Q: I see that the site for next year’s East Regional is still TBA, because the NCAA would like to have it at Madison Square Garden but ongoing renovations are leaving things up in the air. Should the MSG thing fall through, is the Dome on the list to play host next year?

Waters: The Carrier Dome is one of four potential sites for the 2013 NCAA East Regional. You are correct that the NCAA would like to take the tournament into New York, but there is concern about the renovations at Madison Square Garden.
The four possibilities are the Garden, the Carrier Dome, the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and the Barclays, which is the arena in Brooklyn where the New Jersey Nets will be playing next year.
