UNC Postgame Thoughts

They rebounded. They didn’t turn the ball over. They did the little things. The little things have been killing them all year and they cleaned it up. They responded too when unc got going a couple of times. It feels so good to win a big game. Hopefully this sparks some serious confidence and belief (with evidence of course)

I know we still have a massive uphill journey to make the dance, but it feels good to suddenly be really excited for the next game. If we lost by 20 it would be exhausting getting up for the GT game Saturday.

Tremendous win!
-we had so many chances to fold tonight and we didn’t. Coming off of the late game disaster against Clemson that says a lot about how Red got through to his team.
-this was the Judah we have all been waiting for this year. Was absolutely special. Took care of the ball and did not force shots. Made some beauties, including that delicious fake and layup.
-Remember a lifetime ago when guys were talking about us having the best back court in the ACC? Well, it felt like it tonight. JJ was spectacular and it’s amazing how much his shooting has improved this season. Credit him for sticking with it and credit GMac for all the work he puts in with him.
-MaliQ played his ass off against that big front line.
-can’t believe how well we shot. Also, hard to believe we beat that team basically playing only six guys.
-good to see Justin Taylor contribute and go to the basket. Also great to see Bell continue to make some effort to rebound. Quadir drove me crazy with his awful perimeter defense, but he came up big with those steals and deflections late in the game.
-thrilled to see the students storm the court and enjoy a great win. Nice to change the vibe that last two weeks have brought. Also happy for all of us on this board who care so much. Enjoy this one guys.
Really, really good post. Don't disagree with a single word.

So confused on how 63% shooting, 47% from 3, 9 more made foul shots and only 8 turn overs somehow only ends up being a 7 point win. Seems like those numbers should mean a 20 point win. When you play a team as good as UNC though you gotta shoot lights out

I was in NCAA Tourney psychological mode.
This win could arguably be almost as big. For one, we're not totally dead. 2-0 at home, split the four on the road, that's 20 wins. Win two in the ACCT and maybe, just maybe. Or 5-1 and win one ACCT game and we probably get in.

But beyond that this was a program rebuilding win. It's something Red can point to in the portal to demonstrate how close we are to actually being good. This could help us get the right transfer to help us turn it around quicker and off we go.

Pretty reasonable schedule coming up if we want to make the tournament. GT and NC St aren't brutal road games and the toughest one the last vs Clemson.

I don't think we'll need all 5 of our good players to have great games like we did tonight to win any of them.

What I was worried about was another butt kicking where our season fell apart the rest of the way.

Red >> Hubert Davis

Also, I hope that geriatric *** Bacot rots in hell from this point forward.

Adios, fat ass.
Might still see him in the ACC tourney lol
